INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD
October 11th, 2025

Today, we join the world to celebrate every girl, her strength, her dreams, and her right to live in a world where she is valued, respected, and given equal opportunities to succeed.

The International Day of the Girl Child reminds us that every girl deserves to grow in safety, dignity, and confidence. She deserves access to education, good health, and opportunities to shape her own future. A girl should never be silenced, ignored, or limited because of her gender.

At the Centre for Corrections and Human Development (CCHD), we believe that when a girl is empowered, a nation is transformed. When she learns, the world becomes brighter. When she is supported, she becomes unstoppable. And when she is treated with love and respect, society becomes more just and balanced.

Let us stand together to give every girl a chance, a chance to dream, to grow, to lead, and to become all that she was created to be. Let’s create an environment where girls are not only protected but also encouraged to speak, innovate, and take bold steps toward greatness.

Empowerment begins with education. Equality begins with awareness. Change begins when we all decide that the future of every girl matters.

Today, we celebrate every girl who is rising above challenges, breaking barriers, and standing tall with hope. We also celebrate those working tirelessly to make sure no girl is left behind.

Let’s continue to empower, educate, and invest in girls, for in doing so, we invest in a stronger, fairer, and brighter future for all.

2 DAYS TO GO

I got a call, then she said I want to come and check your facility because I don't want to take him to where he will gather more problems. These were her first statements.

I saw a woman talking from the place of pain, who knows how many places, they've been already. Managing a son in use of drugs is not an easy task, it can be overwhelming.

By the time she arrived, she was looking stressed and unkempt. I knew this problem has taken a better part of her.

I knew I have a challenge, first of all to calm her down, make her relax and trust me then sell our USP to her. By the time I was done, she heaved a sigh of relief and ask when can they bring him in.

My question to you now is:

Do you know how to sell to a distraught client, with bouts of negative experiences?.

Selling is the live wire of any business, so you must sell.

I was talking to one of our speakers, he made a profound statement. and asked a question. "if they get these skills would they know how to market it"?

Acquiring a skill is one thing but selling it, and using it profitably is entirely another thing.

Would you want to learn the digital skills and how to sell and use them profitably then join in this conference, register and thank me later.

Are you Ready?

As we prepare this youth conference on 29-30 August, we are going to be paying a lot of attention to technology, entrepreneurship and digital marketing and there is no better person to handle it than our own Mr. Emmanuel Udeagha, real son of the house.

Apart from being the Founder and CEO of Pukena Concierge Services Limited, a fast growing outsourcing company with over 1000 people under their employment, he is also a seasoned minister of the gospel.

Over the weekend, he was sharing with me God's dealing with him. It was soothing to hear the beautiful testimonies of what God is doing with him.

He inspires me personally, he walks the talk. There is so much to talk about his business and growth. He shared a story once with me, how he watched over one hundred times in you tube, how to drive a car.

Then he entered the car and just drove it, after his drivers had shown him shege banza on account of not being able to drive. That's who he is, he literally thought himself most of the things, he is teaching today and Making money. His personal story will inspire.

He will be handling Technology, Entrepreneurship and Digital marketing during this conference.

Some of the breakdowns are:

a. How can you delve into digital and entrepreneurial world?
b. What tech tools do you need?
c. How can you use tech tools and digital marketing to become a successful entrepreneur.
d. He will share his success story, his struggles and experiences.
e. Teach you how he is making global impact.

Please be part of this conference, send your wards to be part of this programme too. One thing I can tell you for free is that most youths are confused, thanks to the economy, ill prepared, uncouth and indisciplined and so lacks the basic requirements to be hired.

This programme will:

♦️Give them clarity and direction for life.
♦️Discover their identity, understand vision and goals.
♦️Address and resolve their confusion, trauma and other inhibiting behavioral challenges.
♦️Expose them to viable tech skills and tech opportunities to prepare them for remote jobs.
♦️Empower them with information on entrepreneurial and digital skills to launch out.
♦️Give them so

CHANGE

When we talk about leading change for Youth. It is requires urgency. There is so much indiscipline, aggression, hostility, anger, bitterness, envy going on, not just among the youth but even grown adults.

A typical example is flying an international flight, by the time you enter the last flight to land in Nigeria, right from the plane you would notice a change in behaviour from the passengers.

The same people that started from wherever, become noisy impatient, intolerant and aggressive. As soon as the plane lands, it's like a whistle is blown, they all stand up at the same time struggling with their boxes at the same time.

I will be wondering, when we landed Atlanta, the same human beings were orderly about everything without anybody talking to them. . What changed now?

And honestly even the air at our Nigerian airports, the mirads of officials, the unnecessary checks points and too many people begging for money, everything is different about us.

So you now see while leading for change is a viable conference topic now. It is a discussion we should hold in different fora.

The National Orientation Agency should actually start a campaign on change and re-orientation. We have drifted as a people.

This is a Clarion call for you join us as we celebrate International Youth Day on 29-30August.
