It was a pleasure to deliver the welcome address at the Nigeria Risk Leadership Summit and Awards as the Director of Programmes for this year's edition.

The theme, "Anticipatory Governance, Risk and Foresight: Preparing Nigeria for a Resilient and Inclusive Future," provided an opportunity to engage with risk management professionals, policymakers, and industry stakeholders while sharing ideas on building a more robust and efficient risk management approach capable of anticipating new and emerging challenges.

During my address, I emphasised the need for multi-sectoral collaboration as the pathway to a sustainable corporate governance system.

I added that, as risk management professionals and captains of industry, we must commit to frameworks capable of anticipating change and building the resilience needed to address today's challenges and meet the demands of the future.

Congratulations to all the award recipients. I am equally grateful for the recognition of my work as a risk professional.

Earlier today, Hon. Damilola Sonayon James, the Assistant State Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State, joined the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, alongside the Honourable Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab; the Wife of the Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs Oluremi Hamzat; and the APC Lagos State Woman Leader, Alhaja Iyabo Abimbola Eletu, in women mobilization for the statewide Monthly Environmental Sanitation exercise at Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA.

The exercise reflects our collective commitment to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Lagos.
Environmental sanitation is not just a civic duty, it is a shared responsibility that directly impacts public health, community well-being, and the overall development of our dear state.

I commend the enthusiasm and active participation of residents who came out in their numbers to support this initiative in their various local government and LCDAs across the state.

Together, through consistent action and community collaboration, we can build the Lagos we all desire.

Let us continue to take ownership of our environment, because a cleaner Lagos is truly a greater Lagos.

Hon. Princess Damilola Sonayon James, State Assistant Woman Leader of APC Lagos State, earlier today attended the International Women’s Day celebration hosted by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

Her presence reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to this year’s theme, “Rights, Justice and Action for All Women and Girls,” as she continues to advocate for inclusive growth, empowerment, and meaningful opportunities for women across the state.

The glamorous event drew thousands of women from all 57 LGAs and LCDAs, beautifully adorned in sparkling purple and white, proudly showcasing the elegance, strength, and unity of womanhood.

The event was graced by distinguished leaders, including the He For She Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; the First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu; the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda; former APC Woman Leader, Chief (Mrs.) Jumoke Okoya-Thomas; and the current APC Woman Leader Alhaja Iyabosola Eletu, alongside other notable dignitaries, further highlighting the collective dedication to advancing the cause of women.
