We are excited to announce JAF Eight Annual Lecture for Youths on Entrepreneurship and Business Grant Award. A grant opportunity for innovative start-ups with high potential for impact and growth. Our grant program aims to support early-stage entrepreneurs with funding, mentorship, and resources to help them succeed.

Our objective is to identify and support start-ups that demonstrate innovative solutions, scalability, and a strong potential for social or environmental impact.

*Eligibility Criteria*

- Business is duly registered with CAC
- Business is less than one year old
- Business must have a corporate account
- Business is within Nigeria
- Applicant is less than 35 years of age
- Application must be submitted on or before July 17, 2024

*Grant Details*

- Total grant amount: N1,000,000
- Number of grants awardees: 10 Start - Ups
- Additional support: Mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to resources

*Application Requirements*

- Completed online application form
- Proposal on PowerPoint (max 8 slides)
- CAC certificate

*Evaluation Criteria*

- Innovation and impact potential
- Scalability and growth potential
- Team strength and experience
- Market need and competition

The 9th Annual Joan Agha Foundation Lecture for Women Entrepreneurs.

The annual women conference took place on May 31st, 2024, at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, 3, Lekki Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Joan Agha Foundation successfully held its 9th Annual Lecture for Women Entrepreneurs on May 31, 2024. The event brought together 61 participants, including women entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry experts.

Our keynote speaker CHINWE EBELE delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy and innovation in growing wealth and scaling businesses. The speaker shared valuable insights and practical tips, drawing from their extensive experience in entrepreneurship and business development.

A panel of esteemed experts engaged in a thought-provoking discussion, sharing their experiences and expertise on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including access to finance, marketing strategies, business registration, and leadership development. The panelists encouraged the attendees to embrace challenges, leverage opportunities, and support one another in their entrepreneurial journeys. Appreciation to our amazing and industry experts Dr Efe C Anaughe fihsd, NWOBI OBIAGELI, Ehi Nwanoneze, Shuaeeb, Stella Edem.

The event achieved its objective of empowering women entrepreneurs with knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities. The attendees left with renewed enthusiasm, inspiration, and practical tools to enhance their businesses and personal growth.

The 9th Annual Joan Agha Foundation Lecture for Women Entrepreneurs was a resounding success, thanks to the insightful presentations, engaging discussions, and supportive atmosphere. The foundation remains committed to promoting women's economic empowerment and entrepreneurship development.

Joan Agha Foundation's 8th Youth Annual Lecture & Empowerment Program, August 16, 2023, focused on "Strategy for Entrepreneurial Innovation and Sustainability." Held at 1B Omorinre Johnson Close, Lekki Phase 1. It drew 40 aspiring youths.

Highlights:
- Attended by 40 diverse participants passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability.
- Mrs. Joan Agha, Foundation President, kicked off the event with a warm welcome, highlighting entrepreneurship as a mindset embracing challenges, failures, and dreams.
- Four accomplished speakers shared insights:
- Dr. Boniface Chizea highlighted the difference between businessmen and entrepreneurs, emphasising risk-taking and showing various steps to success.
- Dr. Adeyelu Olushola discussed drug abuse effects on health, self-esteem, and stress management.
- Ms. Chichi Eriobu shared her journey from a previous grant awardee of the foundation to thriving entrepreneur, stressing persistence and adaptability.
- Deborah Oyesanya focused on purpose-driven entrepreneurship and the importance of solving problems.
- Ten outstanding awardees were granted N100,000 each to support their entrepreneurial projects, chosen from 57 applicants.
- Event concluded with gratitude for success and appreciation for the continued support of ambassadors of hope.

In conclusion, we give God all the glory for a very successful event. We are also grateful to our ambassadors of hope for constantly and consistently providing support and we pray that God in his mercy continues to bless each and everyone of us.

Joan Agha Foundation hosted its seventh annual lecture for youth empowerment and business grant award on Monday 12th, September, 2022 at No. 1b, Omorinre Johnson Close, Lekki Phase1, Lagos.

The aim of this lecture, is to bring together successful entrepreneurs from different sectors of the economy, to share their success stories and challenges and give insights based on experience to peculiar obstacles facing startup entrepreneurs and how to overcome them.

Grants were also given to selected entrepreneurs who were screened and vetted, to help them improve their businesses and enable them take steps forward in achieving their dreams.
