The Nigerian Communications Commission NCC, in collaboration with the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs & Christian Blind Mission International, concluded the 2nd Edition of Digital Citizenship Training for Persons with Disabilities.

100 PWDs trained on digital skills, online safety & earning online at the 2-day training.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has marked yet another important milestone in Nigeria’s digital education journey with the launch of the Zero-Rated Access to Educational Platforms Initiative.

The initiative is designed to remove data-cost barriers and expand access to approved digital education platforms and learning resources, enabling more students and learners to benefit from digital learning opportunities. The initiative is in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education.

The launch brought together stakeholders from government, academia, the communications and education sectors, as well as student representatives. Driven by collaboration, innovation and purposeful partnerships, the initiative represents another significant step towards making digital learning more inclusive, accessible and available to students and learners across Nigeria.

The launch also featured a panel session that explored the vision, implementation and potential benefits of zero-rated access to educational platforms in Nigeria, as well as the role of collaboration in ensuring the initiative delivers meaningful and sustainable impact.
