Ministry of Trade & Investment, Benue State congratulate the newly Acting chairman of BIRS today in his office in makurdi

BIRS CHAIRMAN RECIEVES MANAGEMENT OF MINISTRY OF TRADE AND INVESTMENTS.

The Acting Chairman, Benue State internal Revenue Service, Mr.Emmanuel Agema today, 2nd July,2023 hosted the management of Ministry of trade and Investment under the leadership of the Director Administration and Finance, Mrs Judith Adagba at the headquarters.

Mrs. Judith Adagba congratulated the chairman on his appointment as Acting Chairman, BIRS. She described the appointment as well deserved and prayed it remains substantive.

The Director Adminstration and Finance,submitted that BIRS and the Ministry remain a duo in the task of revenue generation and prayed that the collaboration be re-enforced for enhanced collection of taxes. Mrs Adagba complained about the working relationship between the consultant on business premises and the ministry.

The chairman, BIRS while responding, stated that some revenue Items like Sack,Modules and Tins which are in the revenue law would be added in the POS.

He also stated that a meeting will be held between BIRS, Osoft and Ministry of trade and investment, to synergies on modalities to ensure smooth collection of taxes on business premises.

The Chairman is committed to collaborating with agencies to ensure smooth tax administration and an increase in revenue generation for the state.
