An Open Letter to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President, Federal Republic of Nigeria
Your Excellency,
With utmost respect and deep concern, I write you today not just as a citizen, but as a patriotic Nigerian—Hon. Dr. Chikere Elec-Njaka—whose heart is heavy over the worsening state of our dear nation.
Nigeria is standing at a very fragile point in history. From rising insecurity to growing hardship, the pulse of the nation beats with anxiety. Daily, innocent lives are lost to bandits, kidnappers, and criminal elements who have now overrun many communities across the country. The killings have become almost normalized, the fear is palpable, and hope is fast fading.
Your Excellency, we must call a spade what it is: Nigeria is bleeding, and our people are hurting. From the cities to remote villages, no region is spared. The primary duty of any government remains the protection of lives and property—and right now, that sacred trust is under threat. We cannot build a prosperous future in the absence of peace and security.
This is not a letter of condemnation, but a sincere plea. A plea for urgent, courageous, and compassionate leadership. We, the citizens, look up to you to bring stability, justice, and renewed hope. Let your tenure be remembered as the turning point—when Nigeria began to heal, rebuild, and rise again.
I also appeal for fairness, equity, and national unity in addressing the root causes of unrest. Let every Nigerian, regardless of tribe, faith, or region, feel a sense of belonging and protection under your leadership.
Your Excellency, this is a call to legacy. A call to be the President who stood firm in the face of adversity and pulled the nation back from the brink. Let this moment be marked by bold decisions that will secure our country and protect its future.
May the Almighty grant you the wisdom, strength, and grace to lead with justice, empathy, and unwavering courage.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Respectfully,
Hon. Dr. Chikere Elec-Njaka
A Concerned Nigerian Citizen.
