*ISU L.G.A CHAIRMAN, HON. CHIEF KENNETH UKAH TAKES ACTION OVER ALLEGED SUBSTANDARD DRAINAGE ON ISUNJABA–UMUAKA ROAD*

The attention of the Executive Chairman of ISU Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Kenneth Ukah, has been drawn to a video currently circulating on social media regarding the alleged poor drainage construction being carried out by the contractor handling the road project from Isunjaba to Umuaka.

Following this development, the Executive Chairman has taken the matter very seriously and has assured the good people of ISU that he will personally visit the project site to carry out an on-the-spot inspection and assess the quality of work being done. The contractor responsible for the project will be invited to explain the concerns raised by members of the public regarding the quality of the drainage construction.

The Executive Chairman made it clear that H.E. Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON (Onwa Oyoko), the Governor of Imo State, is a leader known for standard, quality, and durable projects across the state. Therefore, the contractor handling the road construction must ensure that the work being done meets the standard and vision of H.E. Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON (Onwa Oyoko) without any excuse or compromise.

Hon. Chief Kenneth Ukah further emphasized that his administration will not tolerate any form of substandard or poorly executed project within ISU Local Government Area. Any contractor who fails to meet the required standard will be held accountable in the interest of the people.

The Executive Chairman remains firmly committed to ensuring that all infrastructural projects in ISU are executed with transparency, accountability, and durability so that the people can truly benefit from them.

He sincerely appreciates the good people of ISU for their vigilance and for bringing the issue to his attention. Their concern and participation in monitoring public projects demonstrate the spirit of unity and shared responsibility for the growth and development of ISU.

Let it be clearly stated that public projects are meant to serve the people, not to shortchange them. Any contractor who fails to deliver quality work will be made to correct it and face the necessary consequences.

Hon. Chief Kenneth Ukah is a responsive, accessible, and people-oriented leader who believes strongly that the voice of the people must always guide governance. His administration will continue to stand firmly in defense of the collective interest of the people of ISU.

The Chairman therefore encourages citizens to always report any irregularities concerning government projects through the proper channels. However, such concerns should be raised constructively and responsibly, without unnecessary attacks on individuals in authority.

ISU Local Government belongs to all of us.

Together, we must protect every project meant for our development and ensure that our communities receive the quality infrastructure they truly deserve.
