The Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State on Open Spaces Development and Recreation Parks,Hon Wilson Nwafor celebrates with the Governor on his 62nd birthday

Ogwa Anunu-Mumgbe Clan in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State today paid a solidarity visit to their illustrious son, Hon. Prince Wilson Nwafor, Special Adviser to the Governor on Recreation Parks and Open Space Development. They thanked the Governor, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for appointing their son into his cabinet and assured that Hon. Nwafor will not let him down. Notable leaders of Ogwa clan present included Dr. Victor Onukwugha, Chf. Rufus Osueke, Chf. Dave Aguocha, Chf. Isaac Uhuegbulem; all six PGs of the 6 autonomous communities were also present: Prince Vincon Uwakwe-Uwandu, Dr. Robinson D**e, High Chf. I. I. Onyeji, Chief David Iheanacho, Mr. Clement Ukaeju and Dr. Sam Chinaka. Also there were the two Councillors from Ogwa: Hon. Bourdillion Ebeninye and Hon. Kingsley Uba. Dignitaries present during the visit included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Ikenna Nlemigbo; the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, Hon. Chinonye Agugbou; Chf. Sam Osuji, Special Adviser to the Governor on Agric. Loans; among others.

Post Covid-19, Imo State government plans to invest on Recreation Parks.

As part of her strategic plans to cushion the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and uplift her economic activities, Imo State government under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has advanced plans to invest on Recreation Parks and Open Spaces.

Hon Prince Wilson Nwafor, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Recreation Parks and Open Space Development disclosed this cheering news over the weekend when Association of Mbaitoli journalists paid him a courtesy call in his office at Ahajioku center,New Owerri.

Hon Nwafor described Governor Uzodimma as a silent achiever who mean well to the populace as being projected in his administration's Shared Prosperity and 3R transformation mantra ,noting that recreational parks and open spaces as tourism money spinning ventures,

He pointed out the efforts his office is making to attract willing investors to partner with the state government in the development of recreation parks and open spaces in the state,

He lamented that the previous administrators of the state did not optimally harnessed the potentials of the sector,

The Special Adviser also advised the media to give positive reportage to the activities of the State Government stressing that Governor Hope Uzodimma has within the last 7 months shown capacity as he has equally positively changed the state narrative.

Hon Nwafor who hails from Ekwereazu Ogwa in Mbaitoli LGA of the State Futher appealed to members of the Association to jettison being used in undue heating up of the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency politics, while canvassing for an objective and constructive reportage of Government programmes and activities.

Earlier,Mr Chidiebere Iwuoha ,the chairman of the Association said the essence of the visit is to fraternized with him as one of their own.

Iwuoha advised the Special Adviser on the need to consider members of the Association as critical stakeholders in his efforts of repositioning the sector for the overall upliftment of the State.

He assured him of the willingness of the group in offering the State Government their maximum support and cooperation while soliciting for mutual partnership and respect.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Recreation Parks and Open Spaces development Hon Prince Wilson Nwafor and members of his team today embarked on tour of established government open spaces in "Old Owerri",

The Special Adviser noted with dismay the unauthorized constructions and conversion of some of the open spaces for commercial and residential purposes without due process or requisite approval from the designated government body.

Going forward, he advised all illegal occupants of government open spaces to vacate without further delay and follow due process.

Hon Nwafor used the opportunity of the visit to commend the Commissioner for the able way he is piloting the affairs of the ministry and urged him not to relent,

Hon Ibegbulam thanked Hon Nwafor for coming, and assured Imolites that the government of Shared Prosperity of His Excellency , the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma is poised to take Imo to the next level,

He promised to ensure that projects coming from his ministry gets to all the LGAs in the State.
