*OUR RECENT OBSERVATIONS IN THE IGBO LIBERATION STRUGGLES*
From the confusion we have noticed within the cycle of contemporary Igbo Political Activists, we think there is an urgent need to organize an all inclusive Igbo Nation Need Assessment Summit before the 2027 General Elections.

The Igbo Nation Needs Assessment Summit will set the framework or committee to draft the Igbo Nation Charter of Demands.

*RESOLUTIONS OF THE JOINT ONLINE MEETING OF THE NWC, BOT, SWC AND NOC OF THE IGBO NATIONAL COUNCIL (INC) HELD ON MONDAY, 11TH MAY, 2026*

*PREAMBLE*
The Joint Online Meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC), Board of Trustees (BOT), State Working Committee (SWC), and National Organizing Committee (NOC) of the Igbo National Council (INC) was successfully held on Monday, 11th May, 2026 with the above categories of members in attendance.

After extensive deliberations on matters affecting the organization of the forthcoming Igbo Cultural Conference and Iriji INC 2026, the Renewal of the INC Website, the following resolutions were reached:

*PREPARATION FOR UPCOMING IGBO CULTURAL CONFERENCE AND IRIJI INC 2026:*
1. Having analyzed the Political Timetable of the forthcoming 2027 General Elections in Nigeria, the meeting unanimously approved Saturday 5th September 2026 as the choosing date for the Igbo Cultural Conference and Iriji INC 2026.

2. The meeting restructured the governing framework of the National Organizing Committee (NOC) to include a Co-chair in the person of Hon. Chief Mrs. Angela Amaechi and a Co-Secretary in the person of Blessing Chinemerem Agbakwuru.

3. The meeting approved a framework for Resource Persons at the Igbo Cultural Conference and Iriji INC 2026 as follows: Chairman of the Event shall be a First Class Traditional, Keynote Speaker shall be a prominent person from the Private Sector with deep knowledge of Igbo Culture and Values, the three Panelists shall cut across Academia, Political Actor and Traditional Ruler.

4. The meeting reviewed preparations for the forthcoming Igbo Cultural Conference and Iriji INC 2026 and directed relevant Committees and Directorates to intensify coordination for successful implementation.

*RENEWAL OF INC WEBSITE:*
5. The meeting agreed that it was very imperative to renew the INC Website: in view of the above, the meeting resolved that all NEC, BOT, SEC Members including DGs and SDs whose Photos and brief Profile shall be uploaded to the Website henceforth Must pay a Mandatory Service Charge of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) not later than Monday 18th May, 2026 as a Resource Mobilization Policy to raise the needed Funds for the renewal of INC website.

*STRENGTHENING OF STATE CHAPTERS:*
6. The meeting resolved that all State Chapters should hold regular monthly physical Meetings, intensify grassroots mobilization, membership drive, and organizational restructuring to ensure effective administration and wider participation across the States.

*APPRECIATION:*
The meeting appreciated all NEC members, BOT members, DGs, SWC members and NOC members that participated in the meeting for their sacrifices, support, and continued commitment to the progress of the Council.

*ADJOURNMENT:*
The meeting ended successfully with closing remarks after members collectively reaffirmed their commitment to the growth, unity, and advancement of INC.
