The Port Harcourt Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, led by Engr. Belema Fubara Ekine, paid a courtesy visit to the Hon. Commissioner for Works, Engr. Prof. Temple C. Nwofor, in his office on Tuesday, 21st April, 2026.

The Honourable Commissioner for Works, Prof. Temple Nwofor, conducted a site inspection of sections of the Port Harcourt Ring Road Project today, 2nd April 2026. The Commissioner commended the contractor on the quality of work done so far and urged them to accelerate the pace of construction in order to meet the October 2026 handover deadline, as promised to the Governor Sir Siminalayi Joseph Fubara.

Earlier today, the Honourable Commissioner for Works Engr. Prof. Temple C Nwofor had a site Inspection tour at the 7.1km Airport-By-pass road. He observed the progress contractor handling the project had made. This includes 6.5km of completed Earthworks. The contractor had promised to deliver the project by July this year and handover by August 2026. Other works underway include the concrete sidewalk and Base Course
