Working towards creating a better foundation for Rivers People and Nigerians. Governance should be about service not stealing.
The race is about saving our country and making it a production hub rather than a consumption ground for failed politicians..

THE ARROGANCE OF A GODFATHER
The ongoing rift between Siminilaye Fubara the Gov of Rivers State and Nyesom Wike the FCT Minister and his Godfather which on the surface appears to have been resolved is far from being over.
In the heat of the crisis, Fubara approached the Rivers State High Court to compel the state legislature to stop all impeachment proceedings against him and an injunction was granted. On Wednesday 1st November a federal high court sitting in Port Harcourt the Rivers state capital presided over by Justice Phoebe Ayua warned the state assembly against any attempt to commence any impeachment proceedings against the Gov.
In breaking his silence on the matter the former Gov and FCT Minister Wike dismissed all insinuations ascribed to him as being an overbearing godfather as a figment of the imagination of some political opponents who are out to tarnish his reputation, in his defense he claimed that the gov was trying to destabilize the political structure he worked hard to build. He recalled the many battles he had fought and the financial implications he bore to sustain such a structure. He pompously admitted his attempt to impeach the state Gov insisting that impeachment is not a military coup as it is constitutional, he asserted that he was undaunted.
What is however puzzling and repugnant is his postulations on his struggle to set up such a structure.
The last known job of the Gov was being the accountant general of the state. As a civil servant did he lobby Wike to be the Gov or did Wike pick him out of a lot believing that he seemed more manipulable than the likes of Austin Okpara, Sen Lee Maeba, Tammy Danagogo, George Sekibo, Abiye Sekibo and the other contestants? Were the candidates at all levels that he paid for their form incapable of offsetting such expenditure and needed his assistance or did he voluntarily decide to take responsibility, is Fubara a Gov or a puppet to be remote-controlled from afar as he lacks the right to interact with Rivers state inhabitants?
Is he expected to inherit the enmity of the former governor or is he required to be fair to all irrespective of affiliation or creed? should he discriminate against certain categories of Rivers State people because they fell out politically with Wike? Were the numerous battles he fought to sustain such a structure expedient and necessary?
These posers are worth pondering and pontificating over as the state matches toward prosperity.
The intervention of Mr President to me is not entirely a bad idea but his endeavor to come up with a settlement template is what is very worrisome.
My favourite reggae musician Bob Nesta Marley once sang” What a man sow shall he reap and I know that talk is cheap and the harder the battle and the sweeter the victory”

After a week long battle of objections to viewing the video evidences presented by the subpoena witness of the Labour Party and Beatrice Itubo, the PDP legal team finally succumbed to the LP's legal team defense.
The tribunal panel ruled in favour of the LP and ordered the video to be shown in court. The video was played and evidence admitted.
Justice would be served in due time, all eyes on the Judiciary.
Forward Ever!

Drama in the court room today, as the labour party are currently presenting their subpoena witness with video evidences at the Rivers State governorship elections tribunal in Abuja.
The iron lady of Rivers State Comrd. Beatrice Itubo believes that as a state blessed with enormous resources, citizens of the state should be provided with sustainable means of livelihood and equal opportunities. Let every well meaning son and daughter of Rivers State see this battle as not that of Beatrice Itubo but a battle to redeem the state for the greater good of all.

"I did not say the election was a religious war because it is not. These are manipulators. I am not an ethnic/religious bigot. I celebrated sallah with Muslim residents in Onitsha as I've often done. I've sponsored many to Mecca. Charles, I am not the one with a same faith ticket. And let's not forget, Charles, there was only one person that told his supporters, "Sn**ch it! Grab it!! Run with it!!! during this election season."
~ Peter Obi
