NIDSUG ACCLAIMS THE EFFORTS OF THE IMC, NDDC, MNDA AND SOLICITS BETTER INTERVENTIONS
On behalf of the National Executive Council(NEC) of the Niger Delta Students Union Government (NIDSUG) and Headed by COMR. N-EPBA GOODNESS brings you our warmest greetings in solidarity.
It needs no stretch of the imagination to say that the Interim Management Committee, IMC which was setup as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari to carry out a forensic audit on the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has done their due diligence.
It is also worthy of commendation that the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, MNDA ably headed by Senator Godswill Akpabio has worked in concert, through a tripartite workforce with the NDDC IMC and other Lead Consultants to ensure the success of the audit and pave the way for the birth of a stronger and more responsive NDDC.
We hence find it behoveful at this point to Strongly commend them:
1. It is on record that the Presidency directed that the NDDC forensic audit, which has been widely applauded as a crucial move and the only process that can cleanse the NDDC, be overseen by the Interim Management Committee, IMC. It is also factual that the Presidency instructed that the NDDC will continue to be supervised by the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs ably headed by Senator Godswill Akpabio.
2. The Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, MNDA has setup a tripartite system between the Ministry, the IMC of NDDC, and other Lead Consultants for the forensic audit, not minding the activities of mischief makers of the commission and others inciting their ‘paid lackeys to publish falsehood and misinform the public about the efforts of the Ministry and the Interim Management Committee, IMC.
3. There had been rapt payments of allowances to Niger Delta students in the Diaspora after a period of neglect, proper verification of contractor claims, and a commendable commitment to move the Commission to its befitting and permanent headquarters.
4) There is now change in the narrative, where we had bad experiences of abandoned Projects in our schools by Contractors. The Ministry Of Niger Delta, headed by Sen. Godswill Akpabio has decided to change the narrative and deliver purposeful and transparent NDDC, through thorough forensic investigation.
5) There is now Succour amongst Niger Delta States and youths, as the NDDC has successfully donated up to a Billion Naira to assist in the fight against the Pandemic Covid19.
6) The NDDC has sincerely delivered through the MD's S.A on youth development, Palliative Measures and health kits towards cushioning the Effect of The Covid19.
All these and more are the achievements marked by the IMC under the able supervision of the MNDA.
We hereby give our deliberate consideration and advice all those fueling counterproductive efforts to backbite and blackmail the efforts of the MNDA, the IMC and other bodies under the auspices of the Federal Government, to desist forthwith or face the full force of Niger Delta Students.
We also solicit for better interventions, infrastructures in our schools, and better human capital development towards transforming the wellbeing of our students.
Yours in the Service,
COMR. N-EPBA GOODNESS
(NIDSUG National President)
