PAD THE GIRL CHILD OUTREACH 2026

For the past 5 years, my team and I have visited rural communities and secondary schools across Rivers State, especially Andoni LGA, inspiring young girls to value education, dream big and make positive choices.

Over the years, we have witnessed encouraging changes, particularly in Andoni LGA, our primary area of focus. We have seen increased enthusiasm for education and a noticeable reduction in teenage pregnancy among the young girls we engage.

This year, as we mark the 2026 International Day of the Girl Child, I will be leading my team to our community to distribute sanitary pads, books, cash prizes and provide vital sensitization for our girls.

Inspired by this year’s UNICEF theme: “Every Girl Deserves to Learn, Lead and Strive.”

ACI HODLS HER ANNUAL INDUCTION/ GET-TOGETHER. SETS ANNIVERSARY COMMITEE.

Ace Comrades Initiative - ACI, held her annual induction / get-together yesterday, 9th February 2025, at Moscow Road Port Harcourt. The event marks the 6th annual induction activity of Ace Comrades Initiative, Rivers State.

The induction lecture on the theme "Power of Team Work" was delivered by Barr. Paul Alfred, where he spoke extensively on Team Work, capacity building, enhance innovation and accountability.

The induction/ get-together was accompanied with ushering in of new memebrs, and the formation/ inauguration of her 5 years anniversary, award committee with the following persons:
1. Moses Oruikor as the chairman.
2. Estella Eneotu as the secretary
3. Dora Richard as a member,
4. Lybeaous Simon as a member and
5. Simeon Otikor as a member.
The Committee was mandated by the leader of ACI Leader Josiah Ikafiem to host and organize the group's 5 years anniversary, and oversee to the nomination of deserving individuals who will be awarded and honoured in recognition of their outstanding contributions to one or more of the following areas: societal impact, services, and humanitarian activities in all walks of life; especially our immediate environment.

We are set to kick-start our incentive program and giving back to the society initiative for the year 2025.
In view of that, we will be hosting our 6th annual induction and get-together, with the theme "The Power of Team Work" to be talked on by our very respected Barr. Paul Alfred. This induction gives us an opportunity to recreate a solid roadmap to a sustainable 2025, and this will be superb as our activities will mark our 5 years of continuous impact on our immediate society.

The date is Sunday, 9th February 2025.

ACI IN COLLABORATION WITH FAMBA RELIEF INITIATIVE, DISTRIBUTES SANITARY PADS, WRITING MATERIALS, GIFT CASH PRIZES TO 250 GIRLS AT GSS ASARAMA AND CSS AGWUT-OBOLO, ANDONI LGA, IN COMMEMORATION OF 2024 INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY.

Ace Comrades Initiative and Famba Relief Initiative, are lending their support to educate and empower girls in line with "Girls Vision for the Future; theme of the 2024 International Girl Child Day, a global day to celebrate the importance of girl child. The day, usually commemorated every October 11, also mark a call to action for accelerating girls education, girls right, and sensitization.

As part of the outreach activity, ACI and FRI gave cash prizes, sanitary pad, writing materials to 250 students of Government Secondary School Asarama and Community Secondary School Agwut-Obolo Towns in Andoni LGA, RS, and also spoke on specific topics on the achievements of women and building confidence in girls so that they can rise up to any challenge to take up any endeavour across all fields and discipline.

The event took place today at Community Secondary School Agwut-Obolo and Governorment Secondary School Asarama.
