PIP site tour 10/12/2017

Port Harcourt Water Corporation is gearing towards implementing a Performance Improvement Project in order to scale up ability to deliver on the manadate to provide potable waer and sanitation services to residents of Port Harcourt and Obio Akpor.

In preparation for this, the Project coordinator, Martin Njisse along with the Project Management Consultants for the Port Water Supply and Sanitation Project and some staff of the Corporation took a tour of the reticulation route for the PIP on Saturday 9th December, 2017.

Permanent Secretary, RSMWRRD, Stella Wigwe​ visits PHWC 10/12/2017

On Friday, 8th December 2017, Madam Stella Wigwe the newly appointed Permanent Secretary for the Rivers state Ministry of Water Resources and Rural Development paid a visit to Port Harcourt Water Corporation at the Rumuola pumping station. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize herself with the staff of the corporation as well as the available facilities.

The Permanent Secretary was received by the Managing Director of PHWC, Kenneth Anga who gave a brief presentation detailing the operations of PHWC. Also present was the Water Operations Manager, Engr. Bowadua Ngiangia, the Project Management Consultants for the Port Harcourt Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and some staff of PHWC.

She also visited the Water Quality Analysis laboratory where she was given a live demonstration of the water testing process by PHWC laboratory officers, Helen Hosea and Helen Dan-Jumbo.

Madam Stella Wigwe expressed her interest in the operation of the Corporation and a desire to work on the continued advancement of PHWC in the achievement of the provision of potable water for residents of Port Harcourt and Obio Akpor.

PHWC management and staff congratulate Madam Stella Wigwe on her appointment as Permanent Secretary and look forward to working with her.
