Today is International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD).

IVAD is an annual event celebrated globally to highlight the critical role vultures play in our ecosystems and the urgent need for their conservation.

Without vultures, humans are vulnerable to the spread of infectious diseases.

Despite this, it is displeasing that vulture numbers are decreasing rapidly - with many species now listed as endangered.

Join us as we shine the light on the importance of these mighty species and the urgent need for their conservation.

Today marks the International Day of Mangrove Ecosystem Conservation.
Here in Andoni the 99% of the mangrove ecosystem is been balkanized by the invasive NYPA PALM.
This does not only posed a serious threat to the ecosystem services but to the health and economic wellbeing of the people.
That's one of the reasons why Andoni fishermen have to migrate to other parts of the Niger Delta for fishing
