WHY ANDONI IS THE MOST PREFERRED TOURISM DESTINATION IN RIVERS STATE

1. RARE ATLANTIC BEACHES with long, serene white sand shorelines measuring about 18.5 Miles.

2. Crooked creeks, mangroves, and rainforest landscapes blending marine and forest eco-systems that support some endemic biodiversity such as the ELEPHANT, HIPPOPOTAMUS, MONKIES, SEA TURTLE, DOLPHIN .

3. Vibrant fishing culture and seafood traditions rooted in centuries-old Obolo lifestyles which have born to the award-winning IJOK-IRIN FISHING FESTIVAL. Also, OYOROKOTO, in Andoni LGA, is most times referred to as the LARGEST FISHING SETTLEMENT IN WEST AFRICA

4. Undiscovered timeless cultural heritage of the Obolo people across three States in Nigeria (Abia, Akwa Ibom and Rivers). The legendary ANDONI HOUSE SKULLS situated at Agwut-Obolo town was targeted by the colonial government in 1904 and many historical and cultural bronze item were raided which are now on display in the British Museum and other museums across Europe.
