Rivers State has a population of about 5 million people.

Bayelsa State, a population of about 1.7 million.

Between them, a combined population of about 6.7 million.

In 2017, Rivers State received an allocation of about N119.6 billion. Second highest after Akwa Ibom State which got about N143bn.

This does not include Paris Club refunds of about N44 billion. (For Rivers).

Bayelsa State got about N105.3 billion.

So how come there is so much unemployment, poverty and squalor between Rivers and Bayelsa States?

The banks who help them receive and keep these monies, who generate billions in interests and who declare and post those huge profits, how much of Rivers and Bayelsa State indigenes do they employ?...or made to employ? How much of our interests do they service?....or made to service? How much scholarships do they offer to our people? ...or made to offer? How much do they contribute to drive corporate social responsibility?

How much loans do these banks make available to indigenes of Rivers and Bayelsa States?...entrepreneurs like tailors, hairdressers, etc?

Or should we also blame Buhari for this?
