CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSES AT DOKA

Construction work on the Doka Road in Ramin Kura Ward, Lere Federal Constituency, is progressing, with the casting of side-by-side culverts currently ongoing as part of the project.

The culvert construction is an important component of the road project, designed to facilitate water drainage, reduce erosion risks, and improve the road's durability, particularly during the rainy season.

As work continues, the people look forward to the successful completion of the project and the benefits it will bring to the community.

Rt. Hon. Ahmed Munir, had the privilege of receiving His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, President of Senegal and Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, during his official engagement in Abuja.
The visit provided an important opportunity for dialogue on regional unity, democratic governance, institutional cooperation and deeper integration across West Africa.

President Faye’s visit to the ECOWAS Parliament in Abuja focused on strengthening the role of the Parliament in regional dialogue, citizen participation and the integration process.

Rt. Hon. Mémounatou Ibrahima, Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, continues to provide leadership in advancing the Parliament’s role in bringing the aspirations of West African citizens closer to the regional integration agenda.

Such engagements demonstrate the importance of parliamentary diplomacy, constructive dialogue and cooperation in building a stronger and more connected West Africa.

ANOTHER MILESTONE IN ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER

Among the numerous locations benefiting from solar-powered water projects across the Lere Federal Constituency, the Ikarami–Warsa Piti Solar Motorised Borehole and Mini Water Treatment Plant has now reached completion.

Work done. Glory be to God! 🙏

This intervention is aimed at improving access to reliable and cleaner water for residents of the community, while reducing the challenges associated with dependence on inadequate or unsafe water sources.

We appreciate Rt. Hon. Ahmed Munir, for this intervention and his continued attention to community infrastructure and basic amenities.

As development projects continue across communities, residents can assess the record of completed and ongoing interventions and make informed choices about the leadership they want going forward.

SAMAR DA RUWAN SHA MAI TSAFTA A LERE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

Samar da ruwan sha mai tsafta ta hanyar kafa rijiyoyin burtsatse masu amfani da hasken rana (Solar-Powered Boreholes) na kara samun gagarumar nasara a wasu karin wurare 50 a fadin Lere Federal Constituency.

Wannan sabon mataki na aikin ya kai kashi 60% na kammalawa, inda ake sa ran kai shi zuwa kashi 100% kafin watan Nuwamba 2026. A halin yanzu, mafi yawan al’ummomin da aka kafa wa wadannan rijiyoyi sun fara amfani da su.

Ruwa, Tsafta da Kiwon Lafiya (WASH) lamari ne da yake da matukar muhimmanci a gare ni. Saboda haka, na ci gaba da jajircewa wajen ganin Lere ta zama ODF (Open Defecation Free) — wato al’umma da babu yin bahaya a fili — nan da shekarar 2027.

Wadannan rijiyoyin burtsatse masu amfani da hasken rana za su samar da ingantaccen, dorewa kuma mai kare muhalli na samar da ruwa ga al’ummominmu. Hakan zai taimaka wajen inganta lafiyar jama’a, tsafta da walwalar al’umma baki daya.

Clean water through the provision of solar-powered water boreholes is coming to fruition in an additional Fifty (50) locations across Lere Federal Constituency. This particular phase is now at 60% completion with a 100% completion target of November 2026, as majority of the communities have started utilizing their facilities.

WASH is an issue dear to my heart and I remain committed to Lere becoming ODF by 2027. These facilities provide a sustainable and eco-friendly source of water for our communities improving health and general wellbeing of our populace.

IMPROVING QUALITY HEALTHCARE WITHIN LERE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

In his continued commitment to improving healthcare delivery across the Lere Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Munir , has constructed and equipped a Primary Health Centre in Saminaka, named the Hon. Saudatu Sani Health Centre.

The facility has been equipped with essential healthcare resources, including hospital beds, laboratory equipment for medical testing, essential drugs and other necessary supplies to support effective healthcare services.

The centre also benefits from 24-hour electricity, helping to create a more reliable environment for healthcare workers and patients, particularly for emergency and night-time services.

The impact of purposeful representation is felt when projects directly improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
