LEKKI 98; TRUE STORIES FROM THE EVENT THAT SPARKED A REVIVAL IN NIGERIA

22 years after the world stood in awe of an event which was the first of its kind, an event borne out of a similar experience from the Holy book, the testimonies from that eventful night still abound, the same way we still read about the multitude that Jesus preached to by the sea of Galilee.

Talking of greater works, CNN estimated the multitude that gathered on the brink of the Atlantic Ocean to be over 7 million. There was no stampede, no casualties and when it was time to testify over 2,000 persons gathered at the Altar to share to the glory of God what had happened to them right there at the beach.

"Pastor Adeboye said; 'My daddy told me that there is a woman here, you have been pregnant for 12 months, my daddy says the baby is coming out.' I wasn't told, I was standing right there, a lady was beside me, the next thing people brought out wrappers to cover her, we saw blood, we saw a child, it happened right before my eyes."

"I remember 15 minutes to the end of the program when Daddy G.O said God told him He wanted to do something that we should give more offerings. That was the miracle period for me because I gave all I came with, that was the last day my father persecuted me as a muslim convert.

When the soft spoken Daddy G.O told the pastors about the gathering by the Beach, some of them were unsure about it, but when it was announced, the news soon became the talk of the entire country, prior to this time no Christian event of such a magnitude had ever held at the Beach and as such people were eager to see what would happen.

"How can I ever forget Lekki 98. I lost a child at birth in October 1998. When it was the time for the publicity of the program in our Parish, I sang and danced with all of my being. I remember, that one of the mummies in our parish then called me and said, "Sis Meg, e rora o, ara yin oti tutu." She meant I should take it easy because my body has not fully recovered. To the glory of God, by november the following year the Lord blessed us with a baby boy. Today it is evident that the hand of God is upon the child. Thank God for Daddy Adeboye for yielding himself to God."

"Lekki 98, what a memorable day! I went there with a colleague of mine, we were both working in Victoria island then, so we left for the crusade at about 5pm when we closed from work. We got there in good time but when i left to get something, I couldn't find my way back to were my friend was again, I had to go sit somewhere else. The presence of God came down mightily that night, infact it was like Heaven on Earth.
At the end of the crusade I had to trek to Obalende, because of the heavy traffic, but it was fun trekking back with people singing and praising God along the way.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God prepared adequately for the revival that was Lekki 98, there were over 80,000 ushers, the Nigerian Army, Police and the personnel of the Civil Defence Corp were on ground for security and orderliness. Also prayers were made without ceasing at the Beach months before the D-Day.

The Body of Christ in Nigeria came together to be a part of the revival at Lekki 98, people travelled from different denominations all over the country to Lekki to be a part of this great move of God, even unbelievers couldn't help but to come and see what the noise was all about. The traffic was so dense due to the multitude of cars and people that people kept coming even after the event had ended. Notable men of God like Bishop Okonkwo, Bishop, Pastor Francis Wale Oke and Bishop Oyedepo were present at the festival.

When you are in love with Jesus:
1. You flow effortlessly in revelation (John 15:15)
I believe many more books will come out of my papers after my good old age as Jesus tarries and I return home. There will be more books from my writings that are yet to be published by the light I’m receiving from heaven. You flow ‘sweatlessly’ in revelation.
2. You manifest unusual passion for the interest of His Kingdom. Everything about Kingdom affairs turn you on naturally.
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth” - 1 John 3:18
Many are out of touch in that area (love in deed and in truth) so the struggles of life kept mounting, increasing and multiplying
Romans 8:28
You are struggling to make things work, He said, “let me show the secret that will make all things work together for those that love God with proofs not in words but in truth and in deed” (1 John 3:18).
When our love for God becomes authentic, He is committed to keep all things working together for our good.
Sir, everything is working for me. I give Him thanks for it. Everything!!!
I don’t beg Him for it. His integrity commits Him to it.

You know my lifestyle? A Bible is always in front of me. When I'm dealing with anything and it looks a bit demanding, I open the Bible, light comes and I carry on.
Somebody asked me, "Do you cram scriptures?" No, I eat them.
One day, my note was here and I was up on the platform, I delivered the note and beyond the note because I had eaten it.
It's not that something took my note, you can’t take my heart (Colossians 3:16).

I have a document I marked, “never to be read” because of the venom in it from supposedly close people that rose to say, “how do we bring this man down?”; spoke it, not knowing it was recorded. No, I mustn’t hear such voice, no I mustn’t read such documents. So I stapled it in my upper room, “never to be read.”
When you are in love, what affect others does not affect you. You will forgive anything so that you can forgive everything.

10. You are steadfast in stewardship - Galatians. 6:9; Job 36:11

11. You receive supernatural strength to keep doing His bidding - Isaiah 40:28-31; Deuteronomy 34:7

12. Diverse encounters become your natural experience.
