Misconceptions about Architects
1. Only the rich can afford to hire an architect. Architecture is about smart planning which should be done by an architect (who is the one trained to plan your spaces) will in turn save you tremendous money.
2. All architects do is just to draw plans. How can you plan a house and intend to execute it without the person who planned it? Who else is better to make changes to your designs when the need arises during construction?. We just don’t draw plans we execute to perfection. Architects bring vision, function and creativity together, guiding you from design to completion.
3. I don’t need an architect for my small projects. Small spaces need professionals even more so you can save yourself from repetitive works and funding.
4. Architects always go over budget. One of the first questions your architect will ask you is “What is your budget?”. This informs him/her on what elements to introduce into your design. So never lie to your architect.
5. Any builder can do the work of an architect. Builders and engineers construct but architects design with purpose considering aesthetics, safety and functionality in mind.
