Chairman, Local Government Service Commission visit Burutu......

Chairman of Local Government Service Commission in Delta State, Hon. Deacon (Dr) Joseph Otirhue, today, visited Burutu Local Government Council for an interactive session with the council's staff.

During his visit, he also paid a courtesy call to the Chairman of Burutu Local Government, Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa, who was represented by the Secretary of the council, Hon. Prince Sunny Perekeme.

The purpose of Hon. Deacon (Dr) Joseph Otirhue's visit was to engage with the council's staff members and understand their concerns and needs.

The interactive session provided an opportunity for the employees to express their opinions, share ideas, and discuss matters related to their work environment.

During the session, Hon. Deacon (Dr) Joseph Otirhue expressed his appreciation to the Chairman of Burutu Local Government, Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa, for fostering a productive working relationship with the council's staff. He commended the chairman for his efforts in creating a conducive environment that allows the employees to perform their duties effectively.

In response, the council chairman, through Hon. Prince Sunny Perekeme, highlighted the pressing issue of a shortage of junior staff within the council. He made an appeal to the Local Government Service Commission for the employment of additional junior staff members to address this staffing

Once again the Chairman Burutu Local Government Area, fondly called, the Ability General, the Promise Keeper, RT HON GODKNOWS ANGELE has kept to his promise as he meets with Community chairmen, across Burutu Local Government Area.

In a well attended meeting by community chairmen across Burutu Local Government Area , the Chairman Burutu Local Government Area,RT.Hon Godknows Angele who was ably represented by the Secretary of the council, Hon Prince Sunday Perekeme had a very robust discussion with the community chairmen and also redeemed is promise to them some of which were reabilitation of community radio houses, employment of teachers, clearing of community water ways were falling tress are coursing disruption of free movement of boats, construction of walkways and community service Employment of women and youths .

The chairmen who took out turns to speak also appreciated the chairman RT Hon Godknows Angele for staying true to his promise, they also reaffirm their continuous support for the working chairman in ensuring that peace and progress is sustained in their various communities.

BURUTU FLOOD;RT.HON.GODKNOWS ANGELE, CHAIRMAN BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA CALLS ON THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO GIVE PERMANENT SOLUTION TO FLOODING IN BURUTU LGA.

The burutu local government chairman, Rt.Hon.Godknows Angele today dispatched a team to went around some communities ravaged by the rampaging flood in the local government. The team which was led by the secretary to the LGA Rt.Hon.Sunday Perekeme visited some communities to assess the impact of the deluge on individuals and communities in the local government Area. The visited communities are Obotebe,Gbekebor, Ayakoromo, Egodor,Ofonibeinyan and Ogbodorbiri.

The secretary while speaking to the leadership of the visited communities had said,the Local governmen chairman is deeply concerned with the suffering of the people and that he particularly feel the pains of the affected communities and individuals. The Government is aware of the flood which has caused trying times for people across the LGA.He promised that the Chairman will work to alleviate the suffering of the people.

The chairman through his secretary also called on the federal government to provide permanent solution to the annual flooding that has always caused serious damage and agonising experiences for the people in the LGA. The chairman emphasise that there's a serious need for the federal and state governments to do more in mitigating the effects of flooding in the local government. He had said that,the state and federal government should embark on dredging,sand filling flood prone communities and also build dam to contain the water.

The Delta State Government Health Monitoring Team led by Dr. Michael Nwoko(SSA) visited Burutu Local Govt Council and the Secretary to the Council, Hon.Prince Sunny Perekeme was on hand to receive them.

Red Cross society sensitisation exercise was officially flagged off today in Burutu Local Government Area with the secretary to the council, Hon Prince Sunny Perekeme representing the Executive Chairman Rt.Hon Godknows Angele.

Association of Delta State Local Govt Secretaries pays courtesy visit to the Office of The Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Govt Area.

Delegation from the Conditional Cash Transfer Unit of The Household Upliftment Program of The Federal Govt in Delta State, paid the Council Chairman; Rt.Hon Godknows Angele a courtesy visit to intimate on the progress of the program in the LGA. The delegation was received by the Secretary to the Council, Hon.Prince Sunny Perekeme

Delegation from the Delta State Compulsory Health Insurance Scheme paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Executive Chairman,Burutu Local Govt Area.

The body came to intimate the Chairman on the ongoing registration for market women to be part of the Compulsory Health Insurance Scheme for Market Women.

The delegation was received by the Executive Secretary to the Council, Hon.Prince Sunny Perekeme who stood in for the chairman that is away on official duty.

The Secretary thanked the delegation and appealed that the scheme should also be expanded to benefit all market women cutting across the two Burutu constituencies (North and South)
