Today, I paid a courtesy visit to a former Minister of External Affairs, Amb. Aminu Bashir Wali.

This afternoon at my residence in Abuja, I received a delegation led by Mallam Garba Shehu, asking for the hand of Hafsat Umar Jada in marriage, on behalf of Alhaji Nasir Bala.

I am currently at the stakeholders meeting of the Coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja. It’s a meeting of the Nigerian people against the oligarchs who promote poverty and insecurity in the land.

Today, I led a delegation of associates on a sympathy visit to the Dan Amar Sokoto, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman , a former Minister of Transport, Minister of Sports/Chairman (NSC) and a member of the traditional ruling family of the Sokoto Caliphate, who sustained an ankle injury from a domestic accident.

This evening, I led a delegation on a condolence visit to the Abuja family residence of late Sheikh Baba Ahmed over the recent passing of Mouftah Baba Ahmed.

I expressed my deep sympathy to the immediate family of the deceased and his surviving siblings, including Sen. Datti Baba Ahmed. My personal relationship with the Baba Ahmeds outweighs any political or public service ties. As Vice President, I
worked closely with Mouftah, who was a Council member of the Bureau for Public Enterprise (BPE). I found bim to be a dependable political ally. Together, we collaborated in searching for solutions to the multifaceted socio-economic and political problems confronting Nigeria.

His passing was a very personal loss.
The Baba Ahmeds have not only been rooted in both Islamic and Western education but in the core values of integrity, respect for humanity, and deep commitment to service.

Late Mouftah was a strong voice for good governance and national development.

May the Almighty Allah forgive his sins and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus. Amin. Atiku Abubakar

It was my pleasure to receive Nafisa Abdullahi, the winner of the 2025 TeenEagle Global Competition in the UK, this evening at my residence in Abuja. I am proud of her and her colleagues on their accomplishment. I used the opportunity to reiterate my support to the three of them through scholarship awards. I have an imperishable belief in the power of the Nigerian youth, and that is why we must commit to a wholesome investment in their education and enablement.

Our discussion focused on strengthening the enduring partnership between Nigeria and the United States, particularly in the areas of advancing democracy, security, and promoting shared prosperity.
