tral: 15 years in (radio) journalism, and 15 years in ICT for development (ICT4D). Over the past decade he was country program manager for IICD in Mali and Burkina Faso, and Lead Advisor Agriculture. In addition to skills in project and program management, he has extensive experience in capacity building, training, workshop facilitation, change processes and IT processes. He has led several partnerships with both the private sector, non-profit organizations and government agencies (ESA, TNO, Orange, ICCO, Cordaid and the government of Mali and Burkina Faso a.o.). His passion is the human and social side of technology. How can technology be used by people in developing countries to improve their future? His expertise lies in participatory design of programs with a technology component, strategy development for scalable and sustainable design of projects (operationally by training local people, organizationally by creating local ownership and financially by establishing social business models and partnerships), change management and assessment of programs with an innovative technology component. He has advised and managed projects in Africa, Europe and Latin America. Fast Leap works with consultants in West Africa (Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, but also in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, etc.), and with some former colleagues of IICD in the Netherlands.
