Lockdownregels in het Bos De regering heeft een nieuwe lockdown afgekondigd. De regels zijn er op gericht om contacten zo veel mogelijk te voorkomen en zo de verspreiding van het virus tegen te gaan. Ook voor uw bezoek aan het Bos heeft dit gevolgen. Hieronder vindt u deze op een rij.

Call for information!

Amstelveen Police would like to call upon anybody with information with regard to an accident on May 29th, around 12:45, location 'Hazenheuvel' (the hill located between hockey fields and Bosbaan). A man on his bike came to a very unlucky fall and injured his spine badly. The police is investigating this incidents and would like to come in contact with witnesses.

Anyone who has more information about circumstances or if you have seen any thing suspicious, please contact the police via 0900-8844. Even dashcam images or other pictures of parked cars in the area are welcome.

[ Fietser in bos gewond; dwarslaesie ]

Op vrijdag 29 mei 2020 omstreeks 12.45 uur rijdt een 61-jarige fietser over het pad bij de Hazenheuvel in het Amsterdamse Bos. De man fietst daar rondjes en bij de tweede ronde raakt hij een boomstam. Deze ligt dwars over het pad en hij wordt gelanceerd. Bij zijn val raakt de fietser zeer ernstig verwond. De politie doet onderzoek naar dit voorval en is op zoek naar getuigen.

Het slachtoffer heeft bij dit voorval een dwarslaesie opgelopen en ligt in kritieke toestand in het ziekenhuis. De recherche is een onderzoek gestart naar wat er voorafgaand aan de val is gebeurd en of er sprake is van een ongeval of dat er mogelijk opzet in het spel is.

De politie schakelt nu de hulp van het publiek in om een beter beeld te krijgen van wat er die middag is gebeurd. Was u wellicht die middag in het bos aanwezig in de omgeving van de Hazenheuvel en heeft u iets opvallends gezien of gehoord wat het onderzoek verder kan helpen? Of beschikt u wellicht over beeldmateriaal, bijvoorbeeld van dashcams van geparkeerde auto’s? Neem dan contact op met de politie op 0900-8844. Dat kan ook anoniem via: 0800- 7000.
Ook kan via www.politie.nl een tipformulier worden ingevuld.

Quick update on the bbq policy in Amsterdam Forest... it’s not allowed!! Simply because it is more than a walk and therefore agains the governments policy in the fight against corona. Pretty obvious, right?

Barbecueën in het Amsterdamse Bos voorlopig niet toegestaan Het Amsterdamse Bos staat barbecueën voorlopig niet toe, om drukte in het Bos en de verspreiding van het coronavirus te voorkomen.

Again a beautifull day during social lockdown. Because of the Easter weekend coming up, the police put up a digital text board to warn those visitors who still decided to come to Amsterdam Forest, to keep a minimum of 1,5 meter distance from each other. If not, the fine will be € 400,-

Even better is to stay at home!!

Politie Amstelveen maybe also possible to have an English translation added to the board?

Just finished taking the dog out for a walk in Amsterdam Forest.

To my surprise some boot camps already started workjng out with their clients. Even punching bags were hung up in the trees!

[ Update steekincident Amsterdamse Bos ]

Bij een steekincident op de Duizendmeterweg in het Amsterdamse Bos is woensdagavond 25 maart 2020 een man gewond geraakt. De vermoedelijke dader meldde zich later zelf bij een politiebureau.

Het slachtoffer belde rond 21.30 uur 112 met de mededeling dat hij in elkaar was geslagen door iemand met wie hij een afspraak had in het Amsterdamse bos. Agenten troffen de man, een 29-jarige Amsterdammer, met meerdere steekwonden en schrammen aan. Hij is met onbekend letsel naar het ziekenhuis vervoerd. Iets voor middernacht meldde een man zich bij een politiebureau. Hij verklaarde eerder op de avond iemand neergestoken te hebben. De 31-jarige verdachte is ingesloten voor nader onderzoek.

Ondanks de aanhouding is de politie op zoek naar getuigen. Heeft u vlak voor of na het steekincident misschien iets gezien of gehoord in de omgeving van de Duizendmeterweg dat hiermee te maken kan hebben? A beautifull sunrise this morning, but if I didnt have to walk my dog, i would have stayed at home!

Sometimes I am ashamed to call myself a visitor of Amsterdam Forest when I see all that litter, sometimes even close to the bin. Wouldn’t it be great to join me, even just for one day, in cleaning our beautifull park? If every visitor picks up one empty can or bottle we see laying around and throw it in the bin, Amsterdam Forest will clean up nicely!

Never a dull moment in Amsterdam Forest! But no worries, no incident or anything... Just checking the map where they are...😉

By the way, did you know that these trauma helicopters have a primary goal of getting medical experts to the scene asap and not to transport any victims?
