👀 Heb je het al gezien op de studiezaal? Sinds kort hangt daar het portret van Paul Scholten, een van de meest invloedrijke Nederlandse rechtsgeleerden! Bovendien was hij nauw verbonden aan de UvA waar hij rechten studeerde, promoveerde én jarenlang hoogleraar was. 🎓

📚 Vandaag is het 79 jaar geleden dat hij overleed, maar zijn werk is nog steeds relevant. Zijn 'Algemeen deel' van de Asser-serie is een klassieker in de Nederlandse rechtsliteratuur!

📗 You can borrow compulsory books for 1 day (same day return). It's also possible to make some scans or copies.

At our Law Library, we’re demonstrating what the planned cutbacks will do with an empty display where our new books usually are highlighted. 💸

You can also make a difference! Tomorrow, there’s a big organized protest in Utrecht you can join to show your solidarity, and you can sign the petition online as well. 🖊️

⚖️ The Law Library acquires new books every day. Besides textbooks and commentaries on major areas of law, the library also has a lot to offer in more specific fields of law.
