A motion by the Party for the Animals to stop financing bullfights has been accepted. π
The Dutch Parliament has accepted a motion by the Party for the Animals to stop the flow of taxpayer money to the bullfighting industry in Spain, Portugal, and France.
Every year, over 200 million euros worth of EU agricultural subsidies indirectly support bullfighting in these European countries. The motion by the Party for the Animals sends a strong political signal that the Netherlands wants these subsidies to be endedβΌοΈ

πGreat news! π
European Parliament approves law against illegal puppy and kitten trade - Negotiations by the Party for the Animals led to major support for the new law. πͺ
After tireless negotiations by the Party for the Animals, the European Parliament adopted a new law to combat the illegal trade in puppiesπΆ and kittensπ± within the EU.
The law, approved by a large majority, proposes several new rules for breeders and traders to combat the large-scale illegal trade in puppies and kittens across the EU. It also aims to protect cats and dogs against exploitation and abuse.π
The law obligates all cats and dogs that are offered for adoption to be chipped from 2030 onward. It also obligates breeders and traders to register and comply with minimum welfare requirements and prohibits breeding for extreme traits.
The Party for the Animals has fought a long time against illegal trade in cats and dogs within the EU. This law is an important first step in tackling this cruel industry and protecting the well-being of cats and dogs in the EU! π«Ά
