On 9, October, Viet Nam was removed from Annex I of the EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes.

This marks an important milestone in strengthening Viet Nam’s international tax transparency framework. As part of these efforts, IBFD worked with GIZ and the Viet Nam Department of Taxation to support the development of the country’s framework for the exchange of information for tax purposes, and we are thrilled to see this over the line in record time.

Meet Maša Ilić, a full-time tax advisor, and PhD candidate at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law. Maša recently spent some time as a visiting researcher in the IBFD library, where she was able to access resources on sourced-based nexus in corporate income taxation, the topic of her research.
