🔹What actually happens behind the scenes of your faculty?

The Faculty Student Council (FSR) represents you in meetings with the dean about faculty policy. From study facilities and resit opportunities to the OER (where many of your student rights are laid down); the FSR is directly involved.
And it’s not just talking: the FSR has both advisory rights and right of consent. That means for certain decisions, the faculty literally needs student approval.

Mijn naam is Anastacia Piersma en ik zit momenteel in mijn tweede jaar van de studie Rechtsgeleerdheid. Komend jaar zal ik binnen het bestuur van de Vrije Student de rol van secretaris vervullen. Vanuit deze functie zet ik mij met volle overtuiging in om structuur, transparantie en continuïteit te waarborgen binnen het bestuur.

Samen met het gehele bestuur wil ik mij sterk maken voor een vereniging waarin studenten zich écht gehoord voelen. Juist nu het studentenleven steeds meer uitdagingen kent, geloof ik dat betrokkenheid en samenwerking het verschil kunnen maken. Met een open houding, oog voor detail en hart voor de student hoop ik bij te dragen aan een bestuur dat niet alleen luistert, maar ook handelt. Zo kunnen we samen bouwen aan een sterkere en meer inclusieve studentenstem.

My name is Anastacia Piersma, and I am currently in my second year of the Bachelor’s program in Law. In the coming year, I will be fulfilling the role of Secretary within the board of the Vrije Student. From this position, I am fully committed to safeguarding structure, transparency, and continuity within the board.

Together with the entire board, I aim to work towards a student association in which students truly feel heard. Especially at a time when student life presents increasing challenges, I believe that engagement and collaboration can make a real difference. With an open mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine dedication to students, I hope to contribute to a board that not only listens, but also takes action. In this way, we can work together to build a stronger and more inclusive student voice.

My name is Victor Gubbiotti, I am the head of campaigning for the coming election in AY25/26.
My sole purpose will be delivering a strong strategy, incentive program and the best candidates to deliver the most seats for DVS across all faculties & at the central level.

Mijn naam is Victor Gubbiotti, ik ben de campagneleider voor de komende verkiezingen in het academisch jaar 2025/2026.

Mijn enige doel is het ontwikkelen van een sterke strategie, een aantrekkelijk stimuleringsprogramma en de beste kandidaten om zoveel mogelijk zetels voor DVS te behalen in alle faculteiten en op centraal niveau.

Mijn naam is Angie-lee en ik zit momenteel in mijn tweede jaar van de bachelor rechtsgeleerdheid. Dit jaar zal mijn tweede jaar binnen het bestuur van De Vrije Student van start gaan. Ik heb ontzettend veel zin om de rol van PR-Chair te vervullen en daarmee onze communicatie naar een hoger niveau te tillen.

Binnen de Universiteit van Amsterdam willen wij als bestuur van De Vrije Student er voor zorgen dat open debat mogelijk is en blijft en dat studenten zich gehoord voelen. Ik geloof er in dat wij dat gezamenlijk zullen bereiken!
