Our story
Daquine started as a dream to create beautiful products made out of Dutch cowhides. The idea of tanning Dutch cowhides began on our farm where we take care of Blonde ‘d Aquitaine cows. We later expanded our concept with other types of Dutch and South African animal skins. All fur hides are obtained through government approved animal herd reduction programs of South Africa or are by-products of the meat industry. Our distinct point of difference is that our manufacturing is made by hand in The Netherlands and South Africa. Here we have a large team of talented local artisans who translate all of our designs into beautifully handmade products. These natural materials inspire the fashion-conscious, ambitious and self-assured woman. She enjoys a design of simplicity that exemplifies the raw materials.
