Innovation through partnerships 🇺🇸 💪🏽 🇲🇦

As the United States and Morocco approach 250 years of friendship, the two nations continue to strengthen their partnership and shape the future of battlefield readiness.

U.S. Africa Command, the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR-Maroc), and the Utah National Guard completed a small, unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) cadre course in Agadir, Morocco. The training developed skilled sUAS operators and instructors while strengthening interoperability and information sharing between the two nations.

These newly trained instructors will help support the Drone Academy at the Africa Multidomain Training and Experimentation Center (AMTEC) in Tan-Tan, building partner capacity and advancing counterterrorism capabilities against emerging threats in West Africa.

Stronger partnerships. Smarter capabilities. A more secure future. 🇺🇸🇲🇦

Africa is the ultimate proving ground for Army innovation. 🌍

At , U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Matthew W. Brown, commander of U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), outlined how the command is partnering with G-TEAD to bridge the gap between tactical needs and rapid acquisition.

Through the Accelerated Capability Event (ACE) framework, we are translating urgent commander priorities into executable solutions—driven directly by Soldier feedback and validated in Africa's unique operational environment.

This matters because the vast, austere geography of the African continent presents operational challenges that cannot be replicated on training ranges in the U.S. or Europe. By utilizing the ACE framework directly in-theater, AFRICOM secures a fast-tracked pipeline to test and field rugged, battle-ready technology—like critical Counter-UAS capabilities—proven to survive the harsh realities at the tactical edge.

Congrats to U.S. Government agencies along with international and African partners for their targeted operations to dismantle transnational criminal scam networks operating from West Africa. This joint effort is actively disrupting cryptocurrency investment fraud, cyber-enabled scams, human trafficking, and money laundering schemes that have drained millions of dollars from American and African citizens.

Yesterday we hosted Under Secretary of the Air Force Matt Lohmeier as he kicks off his European tour. ✈️

Our senior leaders sat down with the USecAF to walk him through what we do here at U.S. Africa Command, our vital partnerships, and the unique challenges across our area of responsibility.

Conversations focused on how our joint-force team works every day to keep the homeland safe using new capabilities to stay ahead of threats, deny safe havens to terrorist networks, and back up our regional partners so they can succeed on the ground.

AFRICOM leadership also briefed how we work across the U.S. government to protect American interests—whether that’s securing the critical infrastructure and minerals that feed our defense industry, countering malign influence by showing the true value of U.S. partnerships, or making sure we can project power whenever and wherever a crisis hits.

A huge thank you to the USecAF for his leadership, his time, and for truly engaging with our team during his visit. 🫡
