The Roman hospital doors opened on this ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐, ๐ข๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ญ๐ณ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, allowing ๐ฃ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ผ ๐ซ๐๐ฉ to make his quiet departure back to the secure walls of the Vatican.
Just four days prior, the pontiff lay under the surgeon's cold blade at ๐ฅ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ'๐ ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ถ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น, fighting a silent battle against lung cancer. Yet, refusing the weakness of a chair or an outstretched arm, the Bishop of Rome stood tall and walked completely unaided toward his waiting vehicle.
He paused on the asphalt, choosing to look into the eyes of the gathered well-wishers and exchange final words with those who watched his gates.
We gather our hearts in profound gratitude to offer our deepest thanksgivings for the swift recovery and steadfast resilience of ๐ฃ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ผ ๐ซ๐๐ฉ.
We thank the Almighty for guiding the hands of the medical team at Rome's Gemelli Hospital four days ago during his crucial surgery for lung cancer, and for granting our Holy Father the formidable strength to walk unaided and resolute back to his sacred duties at the Vatican.
Heavenly Father, we pray that You continue to pour out Your healing grace upon him, fortifying his health and sustaining his spirit as he leads the faithful worldwide.
May his walk outside the hospital doors be a lasting testament to hope and enduring strength, and may Your protective hand remain over him in all the days to come. Amen.
