Blue Choice Card

We Have 18 Blue Choice Cards!

And of course we will not keep them. These 15 euro charged cards will go to clients of Voedselbank Zwolle so that people requiring financial assistance can get extra groceries at Jumbo supermarkets.

On the 24th of May we will give them to the Voedselbank so that the first 18 people can use them. Another card is coming soon, funded by our teacher. Do you want to contribute too?

Every 15 euros makes one card, with a small donation you can have a big impact.

Today we officially fixed the partnerships with two crucial actors in our project: Jumbo Veemarkt Zwolle and Voedselbank Zwolle
This means that we can now start handing the first Blue Choice Cards to the Voedselbank and start our pilot project!

Meet our first contributor: Social Club Zwolle ☺️
As part of the 17000 member-strong Suver Nuver Stichting, the Social Club aims to provide information and promote the use of cannabis oil for medical purposes.
Cannabis oil is still considered illegal in the Netherlands, although thousands of people already rely on the medical benefits to treat sleeping disorder, pain, epilepsy and many more.
The volunteers at Social Club Zwolle welcome everyone who would like to get further information on cannabis oil and its different medical applications Mondays and Tuesdays from 14:00 to 17:00 at Thorbeckgracht 50.

last thursday we went to the city to personally hand out donation letters to local shops and neighborhood centers. We printed another 100 to distribute soon.
No matter how small or big, every donation counts and is appreciated! 100% of the contributions get put on the cards directly.

Why the Blue Choice Card?

The Voedselbank helps people living under the poverty line. Their customers can go to a designated area to get a pre-filled box of donated ingredients. While this is a good system, people do not have choice in the food they get and cannot go to the grocery store.

The Blue Choice Card offers:

- Free choice
The cards are gift cards that can be used at a supermarket where other products not included in the food package can be bought

- Less shame
Often people feel ashamed admitting they need help because there is a huge stigma around it. The Blue Choice Card, however, is discreet and includes people in the general food supply system.

-Self-sufficiency
Card holders can buy their groceries themselves which gives them a feeling of self-achievement

after a great meeting yesterday, we present to you one of our main partners: the Voedselbank Zwolle
The first Dutch Voedselbank started distributing food packages in 2002. To this day, the Voedselbank counts 100.000 beneficiaries of whom 40% are below 18 years of age.
Throughout the country, 10.500 voluntary workers assure that the packages are ready and handed out in time (just like Frits, the happy face at the center of our selfie 😉) does every day in Zwolle.
