from end point of 92 Km. long Don secondary canal having capacity 2500 cusec. This system was handed over to Nepal Government in 1975 and 1976 AD in two stages. After that with loan assistance of World Bank, Government of Nepal run command area development program by taking rotational block of 7.5 hectare at field level. The construction works commenced in 1972 and the first phase was completed in 1980 developing the irrigation networks in about 16000 ha. (Block 1-6). The second phase was commenced in 1978 and completed in 1986 with the extension of the infrastructures in about 12700 ha. (Block 7-12). The third phase was commenced in 1987 and completed in 1991 with the extension of the infrastructures in about 8700 ha. (Block 13-15). This project also has 29 nos. of tube well having command area 2700 ha. It consists of Main canal (Nepal main canal) length of 81 km ,Total main secondary canal 17 (137km), Total branch secondary canal 50 (233km), Sub secondary canal (408.5 km), Tertiary canal (1468 km), Drainage (305km), Major Structures(87 nos ), Structures ( 3574 nos) with a design capacity of 850 cusecs.
