पानी नै जीवन हो, तर हामी बिस्तारै यही अमूल्य वरदान लाई संकट तर्फ धकेलिरहेका छौँ।
नेपाल, जुन देश पानीका स्रोतहरुमा धनी मानिन्छ, आज विभिन्न क्षेत्रमा पानी अभावको समस्या भोगिरहेको छ।
यो केवल प्राकृतिक समस्या होइन यो हाम्रो आफ्नै कर्मको परिणाम हो।
अव्यवस्थित पूर्वाधार विकास, तीव्र शहरीकरण, औद्योगिक विस्तार, अवैध वन कटान, र अत्यधिक कंक्रिटकरणले प्राकृतिक सन्तुलन बिगारेको छ।
नदीहरु सुक्दै छन्, भू–जल घट्दै गएको छ, र पहिले प्रशस्त रहेका पानीका स्रोतहरू हराउँदै गएका छन्।
यदि हामीले आज पनि पानीको दुरुपयोग र बेवास्ता गरिरह्यौं भने, भोलिका पुस्ताले हामीलाई कहिल्यै माफ गर्ने छैनन्।
अब समय आएको छ, पुनः सोच्ने, संरक्षण गर्ने र प्रकृतिको सम्मान गर्ने।
