Happy Birthday to our co-founder! ❤️

Behind every dream is someone who believes in it, stands by it, and works hard to turn it into reality.

You are not only someone with a vision for a better future for elephants, but also someone who shows up for them every single day. From the everyday responsibilities of their care to the countless little things that often go unnoticed, your dedication and efforts are a big part of this journey.

Thank you for sharing this vision, putting it into action, and standing alongside us in our mission to make a better world for elephants.

May this new year bring you happiness, strength, and countless reasons to smile. Here’s to growing, learning, and making a difference together.

Once again, Happy Birthday Babu!! Deexanta Rijal

With love,
Team Elephant Care Nepal (ECN)

For her, bath time isn’t complete without a good roll in the mud.

After her shower, our little girl enjoys rolling on the soil, scratching her body, and getting herself covered in dust all over again.

But this is more than just play. Elephants naturally roll in mud and dust to help protect their sensitive skin from the sun and insects. Rubbing and scratching against the ground also helps them relieve itches and care for their skin.

For young elephants, these activities are also an important part of exploring their surroundings and expressing natural behaviours.

She may be clean one moment and covered in mud the next, but that’s simply part of being an elephant.

Sometimes, the best way to care for elephants is to let them do what comes naturally.

Who says you can’t eat and play at the same time?

Our little girl was busy enjoying her food while playing with a wooden log and apparently, it was also getting in the way of her camera angle!

But did you know that play is an important part of an elephant’s natural behaviour? Elephants use their trunks to explore, touch, lift, push, and manipulate objects around them. These activities help them develop coordination, strength, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.

For young elephants, exploring their surroundings through play is also a way of learning about the world. Every object can become an opportunity to investigate something new!

At Elephant Care Nepal, we love observing these little moments because elephant care is not just about providing food and shelter ,it’s also about giving elephants opportunities to express their natural behaviours.

Eat, play, explore… and make sure the camera angle is perfect!

Feed an Elephant, Feed a Heart Full of Love!

“Thank you for spending your time with us and filling our tummies with love! We may not be able to say it in words, but we feel your kindness. Every little act of care makes our day a little more special.”

At Elephant Care Nepal, our Feed the Elephant program is more than just sharing food. It is an opportunity to connect with these beautiful giants, learn their individual stories, and understand why their welfare matters.

Why does it matter?

Every visit makes a difference. Your participation helps support the daily food and care of our elephants.

Learn through connection. Get to know elephants as individuals, understand their behaviour, and discover what they need to live healthier, happier lives.

Be part of a kinder future. By choosing responsible elephant experiences, you help support a different way of interacting with elephants, built on respect, compassion, and their well-being.

A simple experience, a meaningful impact. Watch them enjoy their food, offer them fresh fruits, and take a moment to appreciate them for who they are, not what they can do for us.

Ready to meet our gentle giants?

Location: Elephant Care Nepal, Sauraha, Chitwan, Nepal

How to book:

Send us a direct message on Instagram or Facebook, or contact us through WhatsApp to arrange your visit. We recommend booking at least one day in advance, preferably two days, so we can plan the experience around the elephants’ needs.

Come with an open heart, leave with beautiful memories, and help make a difference, one fruit, one visit, and one act of kindness at a time.

At Elephant Care Nepal, we believe elephants deserve care, not commands; respect, not rides.

What are we doing here?

The mahout and field tracker is up in the tree, keeping an eye out for possible wildlife encounters, such as rhinos and other animals. Meanwhile, we’re on the ground, quietly observing elephants being elephants eating, exploring, and simply going about their day.

No forcing them to do anything for us.

Just elephants being themselves, and people learning to appreciate them in their own world.

Sometimes, the best elephant experience is simply standing back and letting them be. 🌿🐘

Celebrate Your Special Day with Elephants

Happy Birthday Caryn! ❤️

Yesterday, she chose to celebrate her special day with our pretty elephants, sharing love, joy, and delicious treats with them.

At Elephant Care Nepal, we believe birthdays become even more meaningful when they bring happiness not only to us but also to the lives of elephants.

Want to celebrate your special day with elephants too? Our “Celebrate Your Special Day with Elephants” experience gives you the chance to prepare a special elephant cake using their favourite fruits, vegetables, and treats, feed it to them, and spend precious time creating beautiful memories together.

But this experience is about more than just a birthday celebration. It’s an opportunity to bring joy to elephants by offering them their favourite foods, celebrate your special day in a meaningful way, and support our mission of helping more elephants move away from the riding industry and towards a better life.

Every little act of kindness matters. Every meaningful experience helps spread awareness. And every contribution brings us one step closer to a future where elephants are valued for who they are, not for what they can do for us.

Celebrate your special day. Make an elephant happy. Be part of a kinder future for elephants. ❤️
