Tanahu Hydropower Limited

तनहुँ जलविद्युत आयोजनाको सामुदायिक विकास कार्यक्रमअन्तर्गत आयोजना प्रभावित क्षेत्र ऋषिङ गाउँपालिका-१, गैराखुदीस्थित श्री दीपक माध्यमिक विद्यालयको भवन निर्माणका लागि टेण्डर आह्वान गरिएको छ। आयोजनाको आफ्नै स्रोत तथा प्राविधिक सहयोगमा विद्यालयका लागि दुईतले, ६ कोठा भएको पक्की भवन र छुट्टै शौचालय निर्माण गरिनेछ। उक्त निर्माण कार्यको अनुमानित लागत मूल्य अभिवृद्धि कर (VAT) बाहेक रु. १ करोड ४४ लाख रहेको छ। शिक्षा, विज्ञान तथा प्रविधि मन्त्रालयअन्तर्गतको केन्द्रीय आयोजना कार्यान्वयन इकाईले स्वीकृत गरेको मापदण्डअनुसार निर्माण हुने यो भवन भूकम्प प्रतिरोधी तथा अपाङ्गमैत्री हुनेछ। भवन निर्माण सम्पन्न भएपछि विद्यालयको भौतिक पूर्वाधार अझ सुरक्षित र सुदृढ हुने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ, जसबाट विद्यार्थी, अभिभावक, विद्यालय व्यवस्थापन समिति तथा शिक्षकहरू सबै प्रत्यक्ष रूपमा लाभान्वित हुने विश्वास आयोजनाले लिएको छ। यसअघि सोही कार्यक्रमअन्तर्गत व्यास नगरपालिका–५, बेनीपाटन र भिमाद नगरपालिका-५, ऋषिङपाटनमा विद्यालय भवन निर्माण गरी सम्बन्धित निकायलाई हस्तान्तरण गरिसकिएको छ। सामुदायिक विकास कार्यक्रममार्फत आयोजना प्रभावित क्षेत्रमा शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, खानेपानी तथा पूर्वाधारलगायतका क्षेत्रमा हालसम्म ९३ वटा योजना सम्पन्न भइसकेका छन् भने थप ७ वटा योजना कार्यान्वयनको क्रममा रहेका छन्।
Under the Community Development Program of the Tanahu Hydropower Project, a tender has been invited for the construction of a school building at Shree Dipak Secondary School, located in Rishing Rural Municipality–1, Gairakhudi, an affected project area.
With the project’s own resources and technical support, a two-story, six-room permanent school building along with a separate toilet facility will be constructed. The estimated cost of the construction is NPR 14.4 million (excluding VAT). The building will be constructed in accordance with the standards approved by the Central Level Project Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. It will be earthquake-resistant and disability-friendly. Upon completion, the school’s physical infrastructure is expected to become safer and more resilient, benefiting students, parents, the School Management Committee, and teachers alike.Previously, under the same program, school buildings have already been constructed and handed over in Byas Municipality–5, Benipatan, and Bhimad Municipality–5, Rishingpatan. So far, a total of 93 projects have been completed in the project-affected areas under the Community Development Program, covering sectors such as education, health, drinking water, and infrastructure, while 7 additional projects are currently under implementation.

तनहुँ जलविद्युत आयोजनाअन्तर्गत दमौली–भरतपुर २२० केभी प्रसारण लाइन निर्माणका लागि तनहुँ र चितवन जिल्लाका राष्ट्रिय तथा सामुदायिक वन क्षेत्रभित्र पर्ने रुखहरूको छपान (मार्किङ) कार्य भइरहेको छ। नेपाल सरकार मन्त्रिपरिषद्को मिति २०७९/०८/२० गतेको निर्णयअनुसार प्रसारण लाइन निर्माणका लागि आवश्यक ९२.७३३ हेक्टर वन क्षेत्र प्रयोग गर्न तथा सो क्षेत्रमा रहेका ९,१२७ वटा रुख हटाउन स्वीकृति प्रदान गरिएको थियो। वन क्षेत्र प्रयोग तथा रुख हटाएबापत क्षतिपूर्ति स्वरूप वृक्षरोपण र पाँच वर्षसम्म स्याहारसम्भारका लागि वन विकास कोषमा जम्मा गर्नुपर्ने रकमका लागि अर्थ मन्त्रालयबाट मिति २०८२/०७/१९ गते स्रोत सहमति प्राप्त भएको थियो। स्रोत सुनिश्चित भएपछि आयोजनाको प्रवर्द्धक तनहुँ हाइड्रोपावर लिमिटेड र वन तथा भू–संरक्षण विभागबीच मिति २०८२/०९/३० गते मन्त्रिपरिषद्को निर्णयअनुसार वन क्षेत्र प्रयोग तथा रुख हटाउने सम्बन्धी सम्झौता सम्पन्न भएको छ। त्यसपश्चात सम्बन्धित वन डिभिजन कार्यालय, आयोजना तथा सामुदायिक वन उपभोक्ता समूहहरूको समन्वय र रोहबरमा प्रसारण लाइनको मार्गधिकार (राइट अफ वे) तथा टावर निर्माणस्थलमा पर्ने रुखहरूको छपान कार्य अघि बढाइएको छ। करिब ३४ किलोमिटर लम्बाइको प्रसारण लाइनमा ९४ वटा टावर निर्माण गरिनेछन्। हालसम्म ७८ वटा टावरको जग हालिसकिएको छ भने दुई वटा टावरको जग हाल्ने कार्य जारी छ। त्यसैगरी ६९ वटा टावर जडान सम्पन्न भइसकेको छ र तार तान्ने कार्यका लागि आवश्यक तयारी भइरहेको छ। वन क्षेत्र प्रयोग तथा रुख हटाउने सम्बन्धी सहमति प्राप्त भइसकेकाले अब प्रसारण लाइन निर्माण कार्यले थप गति लिने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
Tree marking (enumeration and tagging for felling) is currently in progress within national and community forest areas of Tanahun and Chitwan districts for the construction of the Damouli–Bharatpur 220 kV transmission line under the Tanahun Hydropower Project. The activities are being carried out in coordination with the Division Forest Offices and Community Forest User Groups (CFUGs), and in their presence, ensuring transparency and compliance with national regulatory requirements.In accordance with the decision of the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) dated 6 December 2022 (2079/08/20 B.S.), approval was granted for the use of 92.733 hectares of forest land and the removal of 9,127 trees required for the transmission line right-of-way (RoW) and tower construction.
As per prevailing legal provisions, compensatory measures have been defined, including compensatory plantation and maintenance for a period of five years. The Ministry of Finance provided source concurrence on 5 November 2025 (2082/07/19 B.S.) for the required budget to be deposited in the Forest Development Fund to implement these measures. Following financial clearance, a formal agreement was executed on 14 January 2026 (2082/09/30 B.S.) between Tanahun Hydropower Limited (THL) and the Department of Forests and Soil Conservation for the use of forest land and removal of trees, in line with the Cabinet decision. This agreement enables the commencement of forest clearance activities in compliance with national regulations and applicable safeguard requirements. The transmission line is approximately 34 km in length and includes 94 tower locations. As of the reporting period, foundation works for 78 towers have been completed, with foundation works for an additional two towers ongoing. A total of 69 towers have been erected, and preparatory works for conductor stringing are underway. With statutory approvals, financial arrangements, and institutional coordination mechanisms in place, implementation of forest clearance and associated mitigation measures is progressing. Construction activities for the transmission line are expected to accelerate, while ensuring continued compliance with environmental safeguard requirements, including compensatory plantation and monitoring obligations.

नेपाल विद्युत प्राधिकरणका कार्यकारी निर्देशक एवम् तनहुँ हाइड्रोपावर लि. सञ्चालक समितिका अध्यक्ष श्री हितेन्द्र देव शाक्य नेतृत्वको टोलीबाट निर्माणाधीन १४० मेगावाट जडित क्षमताको तनहुँ जलविद्युत आयोजनाको स्थलगत निरीक्षण गरिएको छ । आयोजनाको प्याकेज–१ अन्तर्गत मुख्य बाँध निर्माण कार्य र प्याकेज–२अन्तर्गत विद्युतगृह, मुख्य सुरुङ, इन्टेकलगायतका संरचना निर्माणस्थलको निरीक्षण गरी टोलीबाट निर्र्माण प्रगतिका बारेमा जानकारी लिइएको थियो । साथै, टोलीबाट आयोजना निर्माणमा संलग्न कम्पनी तथा आयोजना व्यवस्थापन,परामर्शदाता र निर्माण व्यवसायीहरुसँग हालसम्मको निर्माण प्रगति, निर्माण सम्पन्न हुने तालिका, बेहोरिएका समस्या एवम् चुनौती,वातावरणीय तथा समाजिक सुरक्षणका क्रियाकलापलगायतका विषयमा छलफल गरी तोकिएकै समयमा निर्माण सम्पन्न गर्न सबै पक्ष जिम्मेवार भएर क्रियाशील रहन निर्देशन दिइएको थियो । A team led by Mr. Hitendra Dev Shakya, Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Tanahu Hydropower Ltd., conducted an on-site inspection of the under-construction Tanahu Hydropower Project with an installed capacity of 140 MW. The team inspected the main dam construction works under Package–1 and the construction sites of key structures under Package–2, including the powerhouse, headrace tunnel, and intake, and reviewed the overall construction progress. Furthermore, the team held discussions with the company and the project management team, consultants, and contractors on various issues, including the construction progress achieved so far, the construction completion schedule, problems and challenges encountered, and the implementation of environmental and social safeguard activities. The team directed all concerned parties to remain responsible and proactive to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe.

ऊर्जा, जलस्रोत तथा सिँचाइ, भौतिक पूर्वाधार तथा यातायात र शहरी विकास मन्त्री श्री कुलमान घिसिङले तनहुँ जलविद्युत आयोजनाको २८ मंसिर २०८२मा स्थलगत निरीक्षण गर्नुभएको छ । उहाँले आयोजनाको प्याकेज—१ र २का संरचना निर्माणस्थलको निरीक्षण गरी निर्माण प्रगति, निर्माणका क्रममा बेहोरिरहेका समस्या, निर्माण तालिकालगायतका विषयमा तनहुँ हाइड्रोपावर लि.का पदाधिकारी, आयोजना सुपरीवेक्षण परामर्शदाता र निर्माण व्यवसायीहरुसँग छलफल गर्नुभएको थियो । उहाँले तोकिएकै समयमा निर्माण सम्पन्न गर्न निर्माणमा संलग्न सबै पक्ष गम्भीर भएर लाग्न निर्देशन दिनुभयो ।
