Sustainable General Insurance Operations with AML/CFT Safeguards
Day 1 covers property insurance underwriting, from risk assessment to claim settlement.

Sustainable Life Insurance Operations with AML/CFT Safeguards
Day 1 covers life insurance risk analysis, underwriting, pricing, claim management and fraud detection.

Day 2 of both programmes focuses on AML/CFT, including the risk-based approach, Nepal Insurance Authority directives and FIU red flags. Sessions will be led by experienced professionals from the insurance industry, the Nepal Insurance Authority and Nepal Rastra Bank.

Celebrating excellence, expertise, and global collaboration!
The certificate distribution ceremony marked the successful completion of the “Mastering Marine Cargo Claims” training program, designed to strengthen participants’ capabilities in handling complex cargo claims, liability assessment, valuation, and recovery optimization. Through expert-led sessions, real-world case discussions, and practical insights, participants gained a deeper understanding of the technical and regulatory aspects of marine insurance.

The program was further enriched by the presence of esteemed international trainer Capt. Mukesh Gautama, bringing global best practices and industry perspectives to Nepal’s insurance professionals. A meaningful step towards strengthening evidence-informed supervision in Nepal’s insurance sector.

The Insurance Institute of Nepal (IIN) successfully conducted “Monitoring, Evaluation and Evidence-Informed Supervision for the Insurance Sector” for officials of the Nepal Insurance Authority, including Deputy Directors and Officers.

Dr. Laxmi Kanta Paudel, CEO of IIN, formally handed over certificates to the participants, recognising their active participation and commitment to professional development.

The programme focused on practical approaches to data quality, indicators, risk prioritisation, evidence analysis, root-cause analysis and translating findings into effective supervisory action.

Special thanks to Dr. Uttam Uprety, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at Governance Facility, for sharing his expertise, practical insights and experience throughout the programme.
