The Rasuwa flood claimed lives, damaged critical infrastructure, and disrupted key sectors of Nepal's economy.

Nepal's growth is now projected to slow to 𝟯.𝟳% 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗬𝟮𝟳 before recovering to 𝟱.𝟮% 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗬𝟮𝟴.

World Bank Group’s latest Nepal Development Update projects Nepal’s economic growth to slow to 3.7% in FY27, following disruptions to industry and services caused by the August 26 floods.

In FY 28, as reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts gain momentum, economic activity is expected to strengthen, supporting a recovery in growth to 5.2%.
