Tomorrow, March 17, the Social Workers' Association Nepal (SWAN) invites every social worker, student, and development practitioner across Nepal to join the global movement!

Rooted in the African philosophy of Harambee—meaning "all pull together"—this theme reminds us that our strength lies in unity. In our diverse Nepali context, we are most effective when we work collectively to foster connection, trust, and resilience.

World Social Work Day will be celebrated on 17 March 2026. The theme for this year, ‘Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society’, highlights the vital role of social work in bringing people together across communities, cultures, and systems to shape a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow.

The Workshop on Proposal Writing & Report Writing was successfully concluded today. The program was organized by Social Worker's Association Nepal "swan" in collaboration with St. Lawrence SS/College.
A total of 43 enthusiastic social work students from various colleges participated in the workshop. The session was coordinated by Treasurer Mr. Rajesh Man Singh and facilitated by Secretary Ms. Pragati Khadka, who provided valuable insights into effective proposal and report writing practices.
The event was concluded with the distribution of certificates to all the participants by the General Secretary Mr. Sudeep Lama Waiba. The vote of thanks was delivered by the chairman and campus chief of St. Lawrence College, expressing appreciation to the organizers, facilitators, and participants for making the program a success.
