Currently, this club has been implementing various projects on Education, Health and other aspects of the society.

District Governor’s Official Visit
The District Governor’s Official Visit to the Rotary Club of The Himalayan Gurkhas was successfully concluded on Monday, 15 December 2025, at The Malla Hotel, Lekhnath Marg, Kathmandu. The event was graced by District Governor Rtn. Binod Koirala, who attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The visit marked an important milestone for the Club, providing an opportunity to review its activities, receive guidance from the District, and strengthen coordination for future initiatives.
The official visit programme commenced with a confidential meeting between the District Governor and key club leaders, including the Club President, Immediate Past President, Club Administration Chair, and Club Secretary. This meeting focused on discussing the overall functioning of the Club, leadership matters, challenges, and strategic priorities.
Following the confidential briefing, the 4th Club Assembly was formally convened, masterfully conducted by District Governor Rtn. Binod Koirala himself. This essential session featured detailed reports from the five committee chairs, demonstrating the club's activities and progress. The District Governor provided invaluable feedback and constructive commentary on each presentation, specifically aimed at sharpening and enhancing future club activities.
The dedicated committee chairs who presented their reports were:
• Club Administration Chair: Rtn. Sadikshya Kandel
• Membership Chair: Rtn. Narayan Prasad Koney Gurung
• Public Image Chair: Rtn. Rum B Gurung
• Service Project Chair: Rtn. Siri Prasad Gurung
• The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Chair: Rtn. Satta Bahadur Gurung
Upon the successful conclusion of the Club Assembly, the Regular Weekly Meeting (RWM) began, attended by the Chief Guest, District Governor Koirala, and an esteemed assembly of District dignitaries and club members. The RWM started on a high note, featuring the traditional happy news sharing from club members and visiting district officials, fostering a strong sense of fellowship and positive engagement.
A key highlight of the RWM was the ceremonial felicitation of The Rotary Foundation (TRF) contributors. District Governor Rtn. Binod Koirala personally honored the dedicated members who had achieved the distinguished Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) recognition.

To formally introduce the District Governor to all participants, an introduction video of DG Rtn. Binod Koirala was screened. Following this, the District Governor addressed the gathering. In his speech, he highly appreciated the Rotary Club of The Himalayan Gurkhas for successfully completing various impactful service projects in the past. He encouraged the Club to further strengthen its membership by inducting more female members and urged closer collaboration with the District in implementing service projects. Additionally, he emphasized the effective use of social media and other communication platforms to disseminate club activities, highlighted the importance of Rotary branding, and requested members to complete Rotary learning courses to enhance their Rotary knowledge and leadership skills.
As a gesture of respect and appreciation, Club President Rtn. Capt. Mohan Kumar Gurung presented a Token of Love to the respected District Governor Rtn. Binod Koirala. The programme was further honored by the presence of several distinguished Rotary leaders, including PDG Rtn. Jitendra B. Rajbhandary, PDG Rtn. Sanjay Giri, PDG Rtn. Rajib Pokharel, PDG Rtn. Yogendra Man Pradhan, PDG Rtn. Rajendra Man Sherchan, DGE Rtn. Vishnu B. Karkee, DGN Dr. IP Dhakal, District Secretary Rtn. Anish Bajracharya, Joint District Secretary Rtn. Arjun Kumar Shrestha, District GML Chair Rtn. Bidur Timalsina, District Public Image Chair Rtn. Amit Giri, District IT Committee Member Rtn. Chhongba Sherpa, Assistant Governors Rtn. Manju Dhamala Thapa and Rtn. Gautam Shrestha, DLF Co-Chair Rtn. Rama Kandel, and DRFC members.
At the conclusion of the programme, Past President and Club Secretary Rtn. Narayan Prasad Gurung expressed heartfelt thanks to all dignitaries, members, and supporters for their contributions in making the District Governor’s Official Visit a grand success. The entire event was smoothly and efficiently conducted by Rtn. Sadikshya Kandel, who served as the Master of Ceremony.
