Estonia in Nepal

On the sidelines of the Fourth United Nations International Conference on Financing for Development in Seville, Spain, the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Alar Karis, President of Estonia.

It was a pleasure meeting Her Excellency, the Ambassador of Estonia to Nepal. She spent the last four days in Kathmandu attending the Heads of Mission (HoMs) meeting of the European Union Member States, and is heading back to New Delhi today. Wishing her a safe and pleasant journey back to India.

Her Excellency Marje Luup, the Ambassador of Estonia to Nepal, has arrived in Kathmandu as part of the visiting Delegation of the Heads of Mission of the European Member States.

I sincerely extend my warm welcome to Her Excellency to this beautiful Himalayan country. This is Her Excellency’s fourth visit to Nepal and I wish her a wonderful and memorable stay!!!

I am deeply saddened by the unfortunate passing of Arnold Rüütel, former President of the Republic of Estonia.

Mr. Arnold Rüütel's legacy as one of the key figures in the restoration of Estonia's independence and the President of the Republic of Estonia from 2001 to 2006 will long live in the memory of Estonian people and Estonian friends across the world.

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the Estonian Government, and the people of Estonia.

Visiting Estonia!!!

I am visiting Estonia from June 18 to June 30, 2024, to attend the Honorary Consuls’ Conference, which will be held in Tallinn and Tartu from June 19 to June 23.
After the conference, I plan to visit Pärnu and other cities in Estonia.

Estonia’s Air is Among the Cleanest in the World

According to a recent study, only seven countries meet the World Health Organization’s air quality standards. In Europe, Estonia ranks second, just behind Iceland and ahead of Finland.

A clean environment is one of the most important topics when promoting Estonia. Thanks to a recent study by the Swiss air quality organization IQAir, we can now present Estonia as one of the countries with the cleanest air in the world.

The report recognizes Estonia as one of the seven countries worldwide where air quality meets WHO standards. The countries that met the criteria were Australia, Estonia, Finland, Grenada, Iceland, Mauritius, and New Zealand.
