Sometimes, the first step towards healing is simply knowing that someone is there to listen. ❤️

A calm presence in a moment of chaos. A listening ear when words are difficult to find. A helping hand when everything feels overwhelming. Sometimes, the smallest act of support can make the biggest difference.

Introducing 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 (𝐏𝐅𝐀) 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 by the National Solution and Research Centre (NSRC) — an opportunity to learn how to recognize distress, listen with empathy, provide immediate support, and guide people towards the help they need.

𝑫𝒂𝒚 7 𝑺𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒅! 🌿✨

Day 7 of our Psychosocial Counselling Skills Development Training focused on Mental Status Examination (MSE), helping participants strengthen their foundational skills in observing and understanding clients’ mental and emotional states during counselling and psychosocial assessments.

Through practical MSE observation exercises, participants explored key areas including appearance, behavior, speech, mood, affect, thought content, orientation, and insight. The session emphasized the importance of careful observation, active listening, and objective documentation in developing a clearer understanding of a client’s current mental state.

A heartfelt thank you to Clinical Psychologist Anjan Dhakal Sir for facilitating this important learning session and guiding participants toward more effective, ethical, and compassionate counselling practice.

Day 6 of our Psychosocial Counselling Skills Development Training focused on Foundations of Counseling & Professional Ethics and Therapeutic Relationship & Rapport Building, strengthening participants’ understanding of ethical counselling practices, professional boundaries, self-awareness, and effective communication.

Through interactive group discussions, ethical dilemma analysis, personal reflection exercises, communication practice, empathy activities, and role plays, participants developed essential skills in building trust, demonstrating empathy, maintaining a non-judgmental attitude, and creating a safe and supportive counselling environment.

A heartfelt thank you to Psychologist Alisha Adhikari Mam for guiding the participants through these fundamental counselling skills and inspiring them to practice with professionalism, compassion, and ethical responsibility.

To make Psychological First Aid (PFA) training more accessible beyond boundaries, NSRC is bringing this session online. The workshop is designed to equip participants with practical skills to recognize psychological distress, listen effectively, provide initial support, respond to crisis situations, and facilitate safe referrals.
