🌽🌽 Nutrition and Dietary Improvement Project (NDIP) - an intiative of 公益社団法人アジア協会アジア友の会 in Nepal to improve the awareness of dietary habit of people in Bhotsipa Village and Pithquli Village of Nepal.

😇Enjoy some pictures of out preliminary survey activities held in Shree Shanti Nikunja School in Pithauli Village. The survey recorded the 24 hour Dietary recall and the current BMI of the students studying in grade 9 to 12.

A 4-day training program on dietary improvement was successfully conducted for FCHVs and teachers from Sindhupalchok and Kawasoti. Organized by JAFS in collaboration with the Central Department of Home Science at Padma Kanya Multiple Campus.

JAFS 4th"Water" Photography Contest WANTED!
Theme : The world from water. Capturing the importance of water.

[ Attraction point ]
1. The first works that passed the first round will be displayed at the "Hankyu Umeda Main Store" 9th floor plaza!
2. Photographer Kentaro Kumun will be judged!
3. All applicants will receive a pencil made by autistic people in Nepal!

Additionally, 5 winners will receive prizes and quocards (1st place 1 winner from each division total of 2 winners 10,000 yen, 2nd place 1 winner in each division total 2 winners 5,000 yen), and Audience Prize will receive 2,000 yen from those who passed the first round!
Final selection results will be announced on World Water Day (3/22) on our homepage!

😇Some glimpse of our Plantation Work Camp with 関西電力グループ (Kanden NGO Network). We are very happy to partner with 公益社団法人アジア協会アジア友の会 (Jafs Japan) to promote forest conservation in Nepal, especially in its rural areas like Bhotsipa Village. With the support of 11 volunteers from Kanden NGO Network we were able to plant 420 + trees of different varieties of local fruits and animal fodder.

☕️Besides that, we planted 75+ coffee plants whose yield will be used for income generation of farmers in Bhotsipa Village of Indrawati Rural Municipality. We are very thankful for being able to host Kanden NGO network and facilitate their philanthropic activities in Nepal.

We are deeply saddened by the demise of Mr. Tirtha Man Tandukar, the father is law of Mr. Om Krishna Tandukar. On the 13th day of his departure from earth we pray to god for the peace of the departed soul. Our entire AFS Nepal team would also like to express our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of the great loss.
