EU support to Nepal continues. As part of the EU Humanitarian Air Bridge, a flight carrying 75 tonnes of shelter supplies, including 500 units of tents, landed in Nepal. These tents will help families stay warm and safe through the upcoming winter. Our partners Save the Children in Nepal and People in Need will deliver them to families in the flood-affected areas.

Today, EU Ambassador-Designate Charles Whiteley and Benjamin Seidel, Chargé d’Affaires of the German Embassy, handed over disaster relief materials to Honourable Mahabir Pun. Thanks to Germany 🇩🇪 and Luxembourg 🇱🇺 for providing these essential supplies through the EU’s Civil Protection Mechanism. The materials were supplied based on requests from the Government of Nepal. More flights carrying relief supplies are arriving soon. 🇪🇺🇳🇵German Embassy Kathmandu Embassy of Luxembourg to Nepal EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid

We handed over 67 tonnes of disaster relief materials that landed safely in Nepal today. Thanks to Germany 🇩🇪 and Luxembourg 🇱🇺 for providing essential supplies through the EU’s Civil Protection Mechanism. These materials were supplied based on the requests of the Government of Nepal. More flights are arriving soon.
