The Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in Kathmandu joyfully congratulates H.E. Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Hon'ble Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, on his election as President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Four decades after Bangladesh first held this distinguished office, our nation once again rises to lead the world's foremost multilateral forum — a testament to the trust the international community places in Bangladesh's voice for peace, dialogue, and cooperation. As warm friends and neighbours sharing the spirit of the Himalayas and the Bay of Bengal, the Embassy and the people of Nepal join in this celebration of a shared regional pride.

কাঠমান্ডুতে অবস্থিত গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাস, জাতিসংঘ সাধারণ পরিষদের ৮১তম অধিবেশনের সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হওয়ায় মাননীয় পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ড. খলিলুর রহমান-কে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন জানাচ্ছে।
চল্লিশ বছর পর বাংলাদেশ আবারও বিশ্বের সর্বোচ্চ এই বহুপাক্ষিক মঞ্চের নেতৃত্বে আসীন হলো — যা শান্তি, সংলাপ ও সহযোগিতার ক্ষেত্রে বাংলাদেশের কণ্ঠস্বরের প্রতি আন্তর্জাতিক সম্প্রদায়ের আস্থার প্রতিফলন। হিমালয় ও বঙ্গোপসাগরের অভিন্ন চেতনায় বন্ধু ও প্রতিবেশী হিসেবে, দূতাবাস ও নেপালের জনগণ এই আঞ্চলিক গর্বের উৎসবে একত্রিত।

🇧🇩 बंगलादेशका लागि गौरवको क्षण 🇧🇩
काठमाडौंस्थित जनगणतन्त्र बंगलादेशको दूतावासले संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघ महासभाको ८१औं अधिवेशनको अध्यक्षमा निर्वाचित हुनुभएकोमा बंगलादेशका माननीय परराष्ट्रमन्त्री डा. खलिलुर रहमानलाई हार्दिक बधाई दिन्छ।
चार दशकपछि बंगलादेश पुनः विश्वको यस सर्वोच्च बहुपक्षीय मञ्चको नेतृत्व गर्न पुगेको छ — जुन शान्ति, संवाद र सहकार्यका लागि बंगलादेशको आवाजप्रति अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय समुदायको विश्वासको प्रतिबिम्ब हो। हिमाल र बंगालको खाडीको साझा भावनामा मित्र तथा छिमेकीका रूपमा, दूतावास र नेपाली जनता यस क्षेत्रीय गौरवको उत्सवमा सहभागी छन्।

H.E. Amb. Md. Shafiqur Rahman hosted today Bangladesh Open House marking the celebration of the holy Eid- Ul-Adha 2026. Family members and children of the staff/officials working in the Embassy and the SAARC Secretariate joined the lunch receiption. Ambassador thanked everyone for joining the celebration and exchanged Eid greetings with the attendents @ the spirit of amity, unity, compassion and sacrifices!

আজ পবিত্র ঈদুল আযহা ২০২৬ উপলক্ষে বাংলাদেশ ওপেন হাউসের আয়োজন করেন নেপালে নিযুক্ত বাংলাদেশের রাষ্ট্রদূত মোঃ শফিকুর রহমান। অনুষ্ঠানে দূতাবাসে কর্মরত কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের পরিবারের সদস্যবৃন্দ এবং সার্ক সচিবালয়ে কর্মরত বাংলাদেশী কর্মকর্তা ও তাদের পরিবারবর্গ অংশগ্রহণ করেন। রাষ্ট্রদূত উপস্থিত সকলকে শুভেচ্ছা জানান এবং সৌহার্দ্য, ঐক্য, সহমর্মিতা ও ত্যাগের চেতনায় সবার সঙ্গে ঈদের শুভেচ্ছা বিনিময় করেন।
