It has been a long journey but we have finally been able to reach here as a dream is coming to life. This is nettle and h**p yarn mixed with cotton which is manufactured in Nepal by the proprietary technology of UGP Nepal where there are no chemicals used in the process. All of the raw materials from h**p, nettle and cotton is grown locally. This will transform the paradigm of sustainable textile industry in Nepal. Thanks to everyone who have made this possible!

We had a very productive and constructive discussion with various stakeholders in the government as an event was organized by the Policy Research Institute of Nepal in which the participants were actively engaged from the Member of Parliaments, Ex-Ministers, lobbyists, activists, NHRC (Nepal Health Research Council), Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Homeministry, Nepal Police Officials and H**p Association Of Nepal who together are working on delivering a roadmap to building the h**p and cannabis industry in Nepal. We had a constructive dialogue at the Federation of Nepali Small and Cottage Industries (FNSCI) between various stakeholders who participated to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the H**p and Cannabis industrialization in Nepal. We had representatives of the H**p Association Of Nepal, Farmers Association, Ayurvedic Association, Governmental Ayurvedic bodies, Clinical practitioners, Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu University, lawmakers, Member of Parliaments and other dignitaries who participated wholeheartedly in an open discussion.
The government bodies have been progressing very well in legalizing and opening the industry where everyone seems to be very positive about it but it is very essential to make the right reforms for sustainable development which we pointed out in the discussion. We focused on the protection of indigenous seeds and making the right structure how it can benefit the grassroots and as whole, the country.

Join Mandi Kerr and Pratik Karki on Tuesday morning’s episode of Moving ^HEMP Forward.
Canaveda envisions of a sustainable and holistic world where it is constantly researching and developing solutions with h**p for the different problems the world is facing today. Its work is to initiate, educate and expand opportunities that are ESG compliant. They work on building a global ecosystem where farmers are directly benefited from the business model that they work through various projects related with carbon credits, textiles, h**pcrete, cosmetics, medicines and bioplastics. We lead by example the notion of ‘Everything is H**possible!’.
For this morning, we’ll talk about:
1. Why h**p?
2. Canaveda's impact and achievements so far
3. Canaveda's vision and mission

We had a very constructive dialogue organized by Policy Research Institute and Nepal Health Research Council of the Government of Nepal on the legalization of cannabis cultivation in Nepal, its opportunities and challenges in leadership of Sher Bahadur Tamang sir, where experts joined in to share their views on what sort of amendments in the bill should be made so the policy can help foster an industry that would be sustainable and help uplift the economy of the country where we participated and shared our views and guidance from the H**p Association Of Nepal.
Most importantly, we discussed about how the farmers from the grassroots can get the maximum benefits and so, reforms are discussed accordingly. Steps like this opens up many doors of opportunities for our country that we are very enthusiastic about.
