As part of the World Drowning Prevention Week 2025, our dedicated coaches and certified lifeguards from Little Dolphins Swim School showcased practical drowning prevention demonstrations during the Stay Afloat program held at Swyambhu Recreation Centre.
This initiative, organized by Rotaract Club of Charumati, in collaboration with Nepal Life Saving Association (NLSA) and supported by Little Dolphins Swim School, aimed to raise awareness on how simple actions can save lives around water.

Nepal Life Saving Association successfully organized the Interaction Program on Drowning Prevention on the occasion of World Drowning Prevention Day 2025 at Dholahiti, Lalitpur.
The program was welcomed by Mr. Binod Kumar Sethia, President of Nepal Life Saving Association, and featured insightful presentations by:

🌱 Mr. Govinda Bhattarai, Executive Director, NASA Nepal
🏊 Mr. Yubraj Sunwar, General Secretary, Nepal Life Saving Association
Each speaker shared unique and critical perspectives on drowning prevention and the urgent issues we need to address as a community.
The event also featured a live demonstration on drowning prevention techniques by the trained swim coaches and lifeguards of Little Dolphins Swim School at the Binayak Sports Complex Swimming Pool.
We were also honored by the presence of Ward Member of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-26, Mr. Suresh Maharjan, whose participation added great value to the initiative.

our dedicated NLSA member Ms. Chahana Shah successfully organized a meaningful Drowning Prevention Awareness Program today at Duduwa Rural Municipality, Ward No. 1, Banke.
With the aim to educate and empower the local community on the importance of water safety and drowning prevention, the program witnessed active participation and heartfelt engagement from local residents.

We are proud to share that Ms. Chahana Shah, an board member of Nepal Life Saving Association, is leading a Drowning Prevention Awareness Program at Duduwa Rural Municipality, Ward No. 1, Banke on 24th July 2025.

We had a fruitful and inspiring discussion with the dynamic members of the Rotaract Club of Charumati , exploring the potential for collaborative efforts in drowning prevention and water safety across Nepal.
The session was held in the gracious presence of our General Secretary, Mr. Yubraj Sunwar, who shared the vision and mission of the Nepal Life Saving Association (NLSA) and highlighted the importance of community engagement in life-saving initiatives.
As we approach World Drowning Prevention Day – 25th July, NLSA is committed to expanding awareness, building partnerships, and taking impactful actions to prevent drowning – a silent epidemic claiming countless lives each year.
Together, with like-minded organizations and passionate youth leaders, we are working toward a safer, more aware, and water-smart Nepal. 🌊
