Kathmandu, May-9: Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Development सम्बन्धी क्षमता विकास प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमलाई सफल बनाउन सहकार्य गर्नुहुने National Institute for Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal प्रति हार्दिक कृतज्ञता व्यक्त गर्दछौं। साथै, प्रशिक्षण सञ्चालनका लागि नेपालमा उपस्थित भई महत्वपूर्ण ज्ञान र अनुभव प्रदान गर्नुहुने Dr. Sanjay Agrawal, Dr. Ravi Kanta Kapoor, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Dixit र Prof. Chanchal Mehra प्रति विशेष आभार व्यक्त गर्दछौं।

Capacity Building Training on OBE for Computer/Software Engineering in Pokhara

A similar five-day capacity building training program on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum development for BE Computer/Software Engineering has commenced from today in Pokhara in collaboration with Pokhara University.

The program brings together participants from various universities and affiliated colleges, aiming to strengthen OBE-based curriculum design and support global accreditation readiness in engineering education.

Capacity Building Training on OBE for Civil Engineering.

Lalitpur, 4th May: A five-day capacity building training program on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum development for Civil Engineering has commenced from today at KUSOM, Balkumari.

The program brings together more than 20 participants from eight universities and private colleges across Nepal. It aims to strengthen the development and implementation of OBE-aligned curricula in line with global accreditation standards.

नेपाल इन्जिनियरिङ परिषद् (NEC) ले National Institute for Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal सँगको सहकार्यमा Outcome-Based Education (OBE) आधारित पाठ्यक्रम विकास सम्बन्धी क्षमता विकास प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन गर्न लागेको छ। यो कार्यक्रम Washington Accord अनुरूप इन्जिनियरिङ शिक्षालाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मान्यता दिलाउने उद्देश्यका साथ आयोजना गरिएको हो।

कार्यक्रम दुई चरणमा सञ्चालन हुनेछ। पहिलो चरण नेपालमा पाँच दिनको प्रशिक्षण हुनेछ भने दोस्रो चरण भारतको Bhopal मा सञ्चालन गरिनेछ। यस कार्यक्रमलाई चार फरक शिफ्टमा विभाजन गरी विभिन्न इन्जिनियरिङ विषयहरू समेटिनेछ।

पहिलो चरणका दुई शिफ्ट प्रशिक्षण ४–८ मे २०२६ मा Kathmandu र Pokhara मा एकैसाथ सञ्चालन हुनेछ।

काठमाडौंमा, Kathmandu University को सहकार्यमा KUSOM, ललितपुरमा Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) कार्यक्रमका लागि OBE आधारित पाठ्यक्रम विकास प्रशिक्षण सञ्चालन गरिनेछ।

त्यसैगरी, पोखरामा Pokhara University को सहकार्यमा Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering तथा Software Engineering) कार्यक्रमका लागि प्रशिक्षण सञ्चालन गरिनेछ।

यस प्रशिक्षणको प्रमुख उद्देश्य इन्जिनियरिङ शिक्षामा Outcome-Based Education प्रणालीलाई संस्थागत रूपमा विकास गर्नु, पाठ्यक्रमलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय मानक अनुरूप बनाउनु तथा नेपालका इन्जिनियरिङ कार्यक्रमहरूको गुणस्तर र विश्वसनीयता अभिवृद्धि गर्नु हो।

उक्त प्रशिक्षणका लागी NITTTR का Washington Accord विज्ञहरू Dr. Sanjay Agrawal, Dr. Ravi Kanta Kapoor, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Dixit र Prof. Chanchal Mehra प्रशिक्षण सञ्चालनका लागि काठमाडौं र पोखरामा आइसक्नुभएको छ।

नेपाल इन्जिनियरिङ परिषद्ले यस कार्यक्रमले देशभरका इन्जिनियरिङ शिक्षा दिने विश्वविद्यालयहरूमा शैक्षिक सुधार, दक्ष जनशक्ति विकास तथा विश्वस्तरीय मान्यता प्राप्त गर्ने दिशामा महत्वपूर्ण योगदान पुर्‍याउने विश्वास व्यक्त गरेको छ।

Kathmandu, April 30: A delegation from the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC), led by Chairman Prof. Dr. Padma Bahadur Shahi ,Registrar Er. Dhruba Raj Bhattrai, and board member Er. Dev Raj Joshi held a meeting today with the Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to discuss the transformation of engineering education in Nepal.

During the meeting, the NEC officials emphasized the need to shift towards an outcome-based education system to align Nepal’s engineering programs with international standards and accreditation requirements under the Washington Accord. Such alignment is expected to enhance global recognition of Nepali engineering graduates and strengthen their competitiveness in the international job market.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of government support in facilitating structured internship opportunities for engineering students, ensuring practical exposure alongside academic learning. Additionally, the delegation stressed the need for capacity development initiatives to improve the quality of engineering education and professional competence in the country.

The Honorable Minister expressed positive interest in the proposals and assured necessary coordination and support from the government to advance reforms in engineering education.

Kathmandu, April 24: Nepal Engineering Council organized an Orientation Program for Professional Engineering (PEng) License applicants at its office, Minbhawan, Kathmandu.

The program was conducted to provide detailed information regarding the licensing process, required procedures, and professional responsibilities of applicants seeking the PEng License. Participants were also oriented on the importance of continuous professional development and ethical engineering practice.

During the session, discussions were held on the role of Professional Engineers in addressing national development priorities and enhancing opportunities in the global engineering sector. Speakers emphasized the need for competent, accountable, and professionally qualified engineers to contribute to sustainable development and quality infrastructure in Nepal.

The Council stated that such orientation programs will continue in the future to strengthen the engineering profession and promote internationally recognized professional standards in the country.
