If your bins were missed yesterday, leave them out at kerbside today.

Heads up Methven - a few streets were missed yesterday during kerbside bin collections.

If you're south of Forest Drive & west of Main Street, and your bins weren't emptied, please leave them at the kerbside, our contractor will be returning to the area today.

Community board backs Line Road as refuse site | Ashburton District Council 28/01/2026

The Methven Community Board backs Line Road as a future refuse site and this will now be considered by Council in the next Long Term Plan 2027-37

Community board backs Line Road as refuse site | Ashburton District Council The Methven Community Board supports using the Line Road recycling facility as the most appropriate site for a future Methven Refuse Transfer Station.

Update 2.30pm - The conserve water notice for Methven has now been lifted.

The reservoirs have sufficently recovered following an earlier outage at the water treatment plant.
