✨ Weather seal your windows - This helps keep the warmth in and the cold out.
✨ Double-glaze your windows - or if you can’t retrofit, window film kits are a quick win - head to your hardware store and check them out.
✨ Check you’ve got the right curtains - double-lined and floor-length, or if you prefer blinds, a combo of honeycomb + roman (Source: ConsumerNZ).

Nothing ruins a cosy night faster than a cold draught 🥶💨 Here’s a check list to help keep the cold out from sneaking in:
✅ Tighten loose window and door hinges and latches.
✅ Replace worn aluminium joinery seals.
✅ Add draught stoppers under doors.
✅ Check sneaky spots like wardrobes, cupboards and ceiling hatches.
✅ Tighten up the cat door too 🐈🚪
If you spot gaps around plumbing or wiring, call in a builder to seal them safely 🔨🏡

Give your insulation a quick check before winter really kicks in ❄️🏡 Good insulation is one of the easiest ways to keep your home cosy. Here’s what you need to check:
✅ Your ceiling insulation is clean, dry and covering the whole area.
📏 Your insulation is around 120mm thick. Insulation compresses over time.
✅ Check underfloor insulation is clean, secure and hasn’t fallen.
🔎 Look for a high R-value and make sure you’ve got the right insulation for your home (check with a professional if you’re not sure).
