🔥 Important info about your fire extinguisher! 🔥

Did you know your fire extinguisher has a test due date? Here's what you need to know in plain English:

✅ Every fire extinguisher needs a pressure test every 5 years from the year it was made — this is a legal requirement in New Zealand.

✅ The test is based on the year of manufacture, not the day or month — so you have the whole calendar year following the 5-year mark to get it done.

📅 Quick example: An extinguisher made in 2024 needs to be tested by 2030 (the year after the 5-year anniversary).

⚠️ One exception — if your extinguisher looks damaged or in poor condition, get it tested straight away, don't wait for the due date.
